Bad Company - Young Blood Lyrics
I saw her standing on the corner
A yellow ribbon in her hair
I couldn't keep myself from callin'
Look a there, look a there, look a there, look a there
I can't get you out of my mind
I took one look and I fractured
I tried to walk and I was lame
I couldn't keep myself from shoutin'
What's your name, what's your name, what's your name,
What's your name
Young blood, young blood, young blood
I can't get you out of my mind
What crazy stuff she looked so tough
I had to follow her all the way home
Then things went bad I met her dad he said
You better leave my daughter alone
I couldn't sleep that night for crying
I saw the rising of the sun
And all night long my heart was sighin'
Cause she's the one, she's the one, she's the one, she's the one
Young blood, young blood, young blood
I can't get you out of my mind

Bad Company Young Blood Comments
K.P. is correct ... the correct word is "fractured." The next line should be "I tried to walk and I was lame." Does Mark Bailey write your lyrics?
I SEND THIS SONG OUT TO LARRY NASSAR...

becky martin
My thoughts exactly! and I'm a big fan of Paul Rogers with Free.
One of my fav vocalists but his stuff with Bad Company just didn't have the same vibe or soul.
You got the lyrics wrong several times:
I took one look and I was FRACTURED
I tried to walk and I WAS LAME
What crazy STUFF, she looked so TOUGH
Mike Martin
I tried to walk but I was lame
I tried to talk but I just stuttered...
Love Bad Co's version of this!

Deal with the preacher and wild fire woman as well
Every song is good.....one of the best groups of the 70s
"Things went bad, I met her Dad"....every guy can relate.
Ron Schulz eeyup.
I can't. My wife's whole family loved me.

So true brother
Bad Co and Paul Rodgers ruled the airwaves for a long time
Company Always on the run
Destiny is the rising sun
Oh I was born 6-gun in my hand
Behind a gun I'll make my final stand
That's why they call me Bad company
And I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die Rebel souls
Deserters we are called
Chose a gun and threw away the sun
Now these towns
They all know our name 6-gun sound is our claim to fame
I can hear them say Bad company
And I won't deny
Bad Bad company
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
SOLO Bad
Bad company
I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die
And I say it's
Bad company Oh Yeah---Yeah
Bad company
Till the day I die Oh Yeah Tell me that you are not a thief
Oh But I am
Bad Company
It's the way I play
Dirty for dirty
Oh Somebody Double-crossed me
Double-cross
Double-cross
Yeah
We're Bad company
Kill in cold blood
carlos garcia wrong song but thatnks
I saw Bad Co in 79 and they tore it tf up. This tune lends to the fun that they had.
Paul and Co. nail this. My second favorite version behind Leon's on Bangladesh. It was an odd choice going back to the 50s, almost a novelty song, in the midst of all their great classic rock originals they were cranking out at this particular time.
OH myyyyyyyyy
Just simple, dirty musically, High School lyrics, and fun as anything!
Yes, we remember this in high school. Ha! You better leave my daughter alone...
yea baby .... a stroll through my memories
only one thing to do with this song CRANK IT UP
60 panhead damn cheapass headphones#%**!!!
I prefer this version to the Coasters. This was the version that ***I ***grew up with.
Just remember no original, there is no Bad Company coverBad Company were influenced by a lot of black music, just ask Rolling Stones, Beatles,Elvis,Eric Clapton,Steppenwolf,The Who,Led Zeppelin.......
british bands '' as they say muddy waters invented electricity , but white boys from America turned it into turbo power' HA'', noke Cleveland.
Such a kick ass, underrated song! Bad Co has a bunch of good ones. This is definitely one of them.

Bret Bailey Young blood isn't a Bad Company song. It's a remake.
Anything with Paul Rodgers on vocals is gonna be good.
They have never gotten the recognition that they so much deserved, but those who were there, and saw them in the day, we know!!!☯️
Ahh Bad Co.BTW they did a jam up job on this Coasters cover. Some body also did this song on an episode of Happy Days. NURDS!...😎🎸
+John Hintz AHHH John. Thank you for spelling NURDS correctly! Happy Days was good in the beginning, then....
Thought Bad Co. version was just as good...or better than The Coasters.
+John Hintz The band that did that cover was Flash Cadillac and The Continental Kids. They played a fictitious band Johnny Fish and The Fins....
@Ed Castillo I think I Like Johnny Fish and the Fin's Better. But Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids has a Better Ring to it.🎸🍸🎤⚡
On this day in 1976 {March 14th} Bad Company's covered version of "Young Blood"* entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #72; and nine weeks later on May 16th, 1965 it peaked #20 {for 2 weeks} and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100...
It reached #9 on the Canadian RPM Pop Singles chart...
Between 1974 and 1999 the British quartet had seventeen Top 100 records; with one making the Top 10, "Feel Like Makin' Love" at #10 for two weeks on September 21st, 1975...
* The original version of "Young Blood" by the Coasters in 1957 was one of those rare records were both sides made the Top 10; the flip-side, "Searchin'", peaked at #3 while "Young Blood" reached #8...
I just love this song
why do I keep getting an error on this video?
I have no idea why, but I woke up with this song in my mind. I think the Coasters did this song first in the 50's, then everyone and their grandmother's hair dresser followed. I love the swing of the bass line, and the horn stabs.
THis was done in 57 by the Coasters, flip side Searchin' both monsters. Listen to the Coasters version, listen to both actually really really good. Better actually than this
I love this cover!
@prognosi911
Oh for the love of God !!! ....... A top-10 hit by The Coasters in 1957.
Go to Walmart and buy a clue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Kenneth Pikus Thanks man, much appreciated
+Nash Burnette Guess you'd have to be old as dirt to know that...lol.
No, you just have to be educated.
The Coasters' original hit was before I was born, but that doesn't stop me from going back and studying and learning the music of the past.
I know the music of the past! Early Rock-nRoll was everything to me! it's just great that bands of the 70's recognized their contribution to THIER being there at that time. They could not have been a band, had air play, if it wasn't for these solo artists or groups.
Great Rock song
Takes me back to High School......great cover.
say young Blood what do you know I say do not know
Jeez, they totally fucked up the bridge...why?
pretorious700
Sounds like the guitarist didn't know the chord sequence to the middle eight.
bad ass
F/N A
You have some of the words wrong: here are the correct words
I took one look and i was FRACTURED
(Ooh ooh ooh)
i tried to walk AND I WENT LAME
Also:
What Crazy Stuff
She Looked So Tough
I had to follow her all the way home
+Rob Grossman Uh, that's what they said.
Rob Grossman
You mean...
I tried to walk but I was lame
I tried to talk but I just stuttered
@ wes smith-it was flash cadillac and the continentals I think.
Coasters rule this song!! This is one of BC worst songs!!
@***** you tell him bro
Here's a HELL YES
I had no idea at all who it was.And not to be a know-it-all,but I think you mean the Allman bros.
Me too! I thought it was the Almond Bros.
joan9345 ALLMAN!
Love this band!!! One of my favorite songs!!!
Johnny Fish and the Fins.
I first heard this song as a kid on CHUM AM in Toronto, back in the 70's,back when they played pop music, before they went all disco, before they sucked. And it's taken me 'til now to figure out it was BAD COMPANY,the last band I would have thought of.Motherf*****.
Ooohhh, reminds me of school daze!
what was the name of the band that did this on happy days.
Forgive me it was 1957
Garage Rock> Really! The original was by The Coasters in 1967
I agree with you Babbski123, There's no shame in being mistaken but before you post it , check your facts.......SO OTHERS AREN'T WALKING AROUND LIKE WIENERS SINGING THE WRONG LYRICS TOO!
@texs2007 Atlantic Records is also part of the Time-Warner family of companies.
@MrMegaFredzeppelin Would you believe I just got around to listening to this song just now? This is an awesome version of this '50's classic. Never knew Bad Company covered this!!!
Thanks Man!!! You Rule!!!
Originally done by the Coasters in 1957. This version is as good as the original.
BC hit #20 in Billboard, 5-22-76. I wonder whose idea it was, for BC to cover this chestnut. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
what crazy stuff
she looked so tough
scottys ws better!!
I liked Scotty version of this song. I think he stepped it up a bit and made it kinda country. He DID NOT massacre it!! BUT this is just my opinion
Anyone hear the Scotty version on Idol? What a massacre of a great song. He's done, hopefully.
I didn't own the first record, but a big fan regardless, this song got years of FM radio playback, always a fav
I saw them do this live in 1976, Lakeland Civic Center, it was such a fun song, they had a blast! It was a great concert, they kept comming back out and played more. They were ALL great of course Paul Rogers but Mick Ralphs is great at what he does also. Simon and Boz. Excellent Band to see.
@mydogalice1 at the Concert for Bangladesh, yeh it's ridiculously good :)
great tune great memory thans
timeless tune.
