BABYMETAL - Oh! MAJINAI Lyrics

As a diehard pirate metal fan, I loved the song, sabaton singer being in there made it even more awesome!

One of the many things I like about BabyMetal is their songs are never too repetitious even when the chorus gets repetitious they do different things with it towards the end, but this song is the one exception, it's just gets too repetitious towards the end. They really could have done more with it as it had good potential. It's like this song was rushed and they didn't have the time to thrash it out properly..too bad! Oh well, the CD is very good overall!

This is funny, but yeah, really weird 😅

I feel this song is a metalised version of Ievan Polkka - a Finnish folk song made popular by Hatsune Miku. They had done something similar before with the Japanese folk song “Sakura” in their first album (I think it is the second song if I remember correctly, I don’t know the name as it is in Japanese). So if I am correct, it meant to be playful and I like it a lot.

My Favourite Song From Metal Galaxy Album...

To those who like other parody metal bands such as Evil Scarecrow, Ultra Vomit, thig song would be a killer.
But to those who prefer less-parody stuff BM themselves are not proper, since 2017 Crystal Lake has been the best Japanese band by far.

I like this one just because of how different it is, but I can understand why it isn’t as well liked by others.

I would say wait until we get a live performance for this one. Wasn’t too big on Meta Taro until I saw them perform it live so maybe a similar case with this one.

Also looking forward to seeing the live version. But if they aren't dancing the chorus with their arms pinned to their sides 'River Dance' style I'm going to be a bit disappointed.
Such a fun song; I really don't see how so many people seem to be disliking it, either.
'Meta Taro' is one of my least favourites, even having watched a live (on YouTube) performance. I don't dislike it, but it simply seems a bit empty to me, so I don't really understand the comparisons being made between that and Oh Majinai.

Usually like 98% BM but this is so bad it's like WTF have they finally run out of ideas; not their best album & some songs sound like a mishmash of previous songs sadly also; a few gems like 'In the name of', 'Kagerou', 'distortion' & even Shanti but this one is a MISS!
They may lose some of the old metal heads going in this direction?

It's a good introduction to Pirate Metal, if that genre exist.

@Jose Martinez Nah. Folk Metal is different, that's more similar to marching band sound. This is more like pirate's shantae but with Metal music, hence the repeating lyrics.

Some love it, although this is probably my least favorite song on the album except for maybe the intro to the dark side.

I love 95% of everything this wonderful band has done, currently & over the years....but this is simply awful. Muppet pirate gibberish.

It's heavy and makes me smile, my favorite on the album.

My guess is it's meant to be a fun song for kids probably. Just like Meta Taro from the previous album.
It sounds a bit like Irish Pub, but it's probably Pirate Metal.
In Sabaton he gets to sing about ships, in this song I guess he can be a pirate ? :-)

Well, in much the same way I enjoy _Meta Taro,_ this song landed quite well with me, too. I can hardly wait for the Kamis of Accordion and Violin to join the band. :D

I am absolutely loving metal galaxy the songs are versitial.

I like Oh Majinai because it makes me laugh but I definitely understand why people do not like it. I think if it ended about 45 seconds earlier it would be a big improvement. :)

The ending is a bit extended, but this is pry more of a fun song for the group to somewhat unwind for some of their more better songs.

This one makes a bit more sense when you realize that 'Meta Taro' was Su's favorite on Metal Resistance.
And this is her favorite Metal Galaxy song.

Haha, weird isn't a bad description. Some people absolutely hate this song, I am not one of those people - it entertains me and I can't help laughing when I hear it. I really want to see what they do when they play this live and whatever it is they do I reckon it will have everybody dancing in the mosh pits.
