You were the one who voluntarily identified yourself as one of the 'dumbasses' I spoke about. I have no reason to suggest such a thing - I don't know you. This seems a pointless thing to debate, and we're sidetracking the thread.

Back to my original point: if people have a strong aversion to pop, they might have backed the wrong horse by becoming a Babymetal fan. The inclusion of pop in the mix is literally their reason for existing.

I a have tendency to react sarcastically when reading that kind of comments (when two opinions don't match) and need to diminish other user(s) intelligence, not your intention i got it now.

I like pop too (80's synth pop for example) and i hope BM don't go any more pop in their next release but if they do go "Paradise Lost/Depeche Mode" phase, i will want to hear it. Usually the unexpected coming from Babymetal is always pleasant (some exceptions might apply).

For this video, it's the studio/album audio over live footage from two different concerts. Tak Matsumoto is a famous japanese guitarist. He played the guitar on the studio/album version of the song but he was not present during the live performances.

I recomend listening to every Babymetal song, they're all great. Also, some good Babymetal songs that you won't find on the official account here are Synocopation, BxMxC, BBAB, and a cover of a Japanese song called "White Love". Babymetal is amazing, and once you fall into the fox hole, it's hard to get out. That's a good thing though:)

But i really do miss the old Babymetal when they had Mikio Fujioka and Yui Mizuno.... when they were at the height of their power.
I discovered babymetal in 2019, not in 2016 :(

The golden age of Babymetal is well documented on videos, they're kind of (mint flavored) time machines. Sames goes with bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica , Rammstein (among others), changes are a normal thing in the music world , we are privileged for having such a easy access to their best years trough the internet. Also this new(silver?)age of 2019/20 have been quiet fun to see so far.

Since October of 2017 but only from the BM stage not from this fan heart. She will always be there performing with Su and Moa. There's a famous song asking "Who waits forever anyway?" my "forever waiting" limit is farrrr from being reached yet, i waited more than 20 years to see Roger Waters perform with Pink Floyd again, i can very patient (just hope not to wait 20 years).

What you see in the video is a back up dancer filling Yuimetal spot, to make a trio on stage again. The core of Babymetal are now Sumetal and Moametal plus a rotating backup dancer in their tour concerts.

Yuimetal left in October 2018 due to undisclosed health issues. Babymetal is now officially a duo (Su-metal and Moametal) but they have three dancers helping them during live performances. In this video you can see two of them : Riho Sayashi and Momoko Okazaki. This video is made of live footage from two differents concerts.

This song is pretty insane if you think about the components. Pop hooks, electronics and 8 string guitars tuned lower than any song from the band Korn ever put out. Lol this is messhuggah territory low.

Also if you look at it from a music theory perspective, this song is absolutely crazy, it modulates like 3 times

I wasn't too crazy about this odd fusion of what feels like j-pop, metal, and general EDMish electronic music but now I love it. It feels really fresh cause I can't recall any band that did something like this quite as well.

@Adio Iadola Everything except jazz, they need to include jazz somehow. They need to also feature so many bands in every track that every live performance is eventually nothing but a crowd of random bands on stage doing their own thing so it could also be labeled harsh noise.

Seems kind of disrespectful to give Gaga credit for their success.

While I still enjoy their new stuff, I personally think Metal Galaxy feels really all over the place and that they really tried too many new things all at once. It's probably my least favourite album of their, with their original still being my favourite.

The song is inspired by eurobeat and japanese pop music from the 90s. It makes sense to me that they altered the voices a bit to give a more electronic/futuristic feel.
