This album was such a disappointment to me. I loved Let Go and Under My Skin. Then she didn't make any music for awhile, and this super poppy album came out and ughhh, :( So sad.
It's actually everything after TBDT that's pop, TBDT is still pop punk and pop rock, onlh the ballads are full on pop, starting woth GL she went more and more pop.

You lot need to re- discus your definitions of each genre.. she’s always been pop punk. Since goodbye lullabye she became more pop ballad like and mainstream... she’s always had country and pop roots.. her attitude towards those genres has completely created her own style of music.. therefore Avril is her own genre.. end off

Let Go is lowkey boring AF, really folky with very little punk rock, The Best Damn Thing is actually far more similar to Under My Skin than to either LG or Goodbye Lullaby, since TBDT is basically glam while UMS is grunge, both punk subgenres.
