I'm still here after all these years. Sweet rock music and emotional lyrics - here is the EPOCH! I still love Avril for her story, for her fight. But I do really miss her 'true style'.

She had such a great voice (and image) for rock music, I don't know why she wasted it singing pop

She didn't waste it. She just followed mainstream music. Most of her songs, you can hear rock influences in them including the way she sings "water" in head above water. That way is a punk inlfuence. Her music is original and inspiring. If she stayed in one genre she wouldn't be touching the hearts of others. Nobody would have missed her when she was gone. She would be left with the 50 year old men singing about that one girl that was a cheerleader that judged him for being a skater boy. She also wouldnt have made it that far in her life. In the 2000s punk rock was popular. In 2010s mainstream switched over to hip hop and rap. In 2019 instrumentals with the basic guitars, pianos...etc(like what you hear on the head above water) are gaining popularity. Buzzfeed or billboard(I forget which) in 2017 predicted rock of all eras will make a comeback in 2020. Judging by what I hear right now I would say that hip hop, early 2010s pop, instrumental and new aged country are battling for popularity. Im voting for instrumental because that's the one that will lead us to rock because it has the most rock influences to it.

Always surprised me how some of these didn't make it onto the actual album.

I think some of these songs show her vocal ability more than the songs they put on the album.

Celia Atkinson agreed. Couple of the tracks aren’t mixed down as much so it shows her range.

Her B-Sides have always been potentially way better than her average hits. I mean I like Avril hits, some less, some more, but I totally love her music basically for her unreleased and unknown tracks.

"Stay - be the one" what a beautiful song, one of my favorites. I haven' t found anyone covering this song yet, weird thing.

When i was 15 she's saved my life n since that day i always wonder to have a girlfriend like avril😆 and now i'm 20, my gf are just like avril (she saved my life) so, thanks god for 2 avrils in my life😇
