"Writing on the walls" refers to a prophesy against King Belshazzar. His father had been prideful, and so his kingdom was taken away from him, and he ate the grass of the fields, until he declared the glory of God. Belshazzar knew this, and yet held a great banquet with the gold and silver goblets taken from the temple of Jerusalem.

"Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace." No one could read the writing, so Daniel was brought in to read it.

"This is the inscription that was written:
mene, mene, tekel, parsin

Here is what these words mean:

Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.
Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

That same night, Belshazzar was slain, and Darius the Mede took over.

The actions of Belshazzar had already been proven before his time to lead to disasterous consequences, and yet he ignored those consequences. When he had ignored the warning for too long, he witnessed the final warning. By the time he saw this, it was too late.

I'm making an animation for this, about something similar to the meaning, the animations meaning is 'get past the haters' witch will have fandoms in it, I think there the best way to show the meaning, it will have fnaf,creepypasta fandoms with a lot of hate like those, and they write on the wall to show that they don't care, and the people in the fandom learn to stand against hate, and ignore it

I simply love this song, it has such a strong message for everybody around us. In a way this song reminds me of Panem, how everybody was trying to make a change yet the Capitol never wanted to listen. Avi, your music is great and inspiring, keep it up!
