Aviators - The Longest Road Lyrics
Sticks and stones took a toll on me
But they aren't your strongest weaponry
You can take your shots but you best prepare
I can see smoke rising in the air
Every move has a counter act
You push me down, and the rest will rise
But first I'm singing a battle cry
Fuses burn and wheels will turn
The ones who lie will never learn
It's all been done a dozen times
The ones who lie pay for their crimes
Now it's time to tell the truth
The darkest hearts aren't bulletproof
The guns are drawn and your weakness showed
Scars and wounds from the battleground
Mark the moments that our drive was found
I've been beaten down in ages past
And I have seen how long the fire will last
Fleeting thoughts don't take the prize
And I've seen the doubt within your eyes
When the movement comes and the people rise
I'll be the first one leading the battle cry
Spent centuries forgetting
This bloodstained path you're setting
You know I've seen it all before
Those with the constitution
To stand for revolution
Write what the future has in store
Don't hide the lies we can see
Don't feed the fire within me
You strike me down and I'll be rising once again
Don't doubt the fear that you know
Don't miss what history shows
The war path will lead us to your end

Aviators The Longest Road Comments
This is one of my favourite songs. The beginning reminds me a little of the anime Shiki
Farming monsters in Undertale on genocide be like "The path to war is the longest road."
God, I'm just gonna download everything, it all sounds too good.
Thank god I found you! This is a gem.
I keep mishearing "scars" as "scuzz". XD
I knew I should of clicked on this! Damn glad I did!
Firstly
Why is this invisible on his channel
Secondly
Why does it say this is by Tyler Shaw?
Anthony Cocuzza good guess, but if you look up Tyler Shaw he sounds almost nothing like any voice or pitch avis sung in. And that’s saying something considering how wide his vocal range is
@Jamie Layne There is more than one Tyler Shaw in the world, you know :P
Check out Aviators bio on last.fm if you don't believe that is really his name: last.fm/music/Aviators/+wiki
Yeah, Tyler Shaw is Avi's real name. And the video doesn't show up in his uploads because it's an auto-generated upload.
darahalian thanks mate, I’ve seen these auto uploads before sometimes they credit the wrong person. I imagine it’s just a mistake on YouTube’s part, but I just wanted to make sure
@Jamie Layne They don't credit the wrong person. They just credit the artist's real name, or the composer of the original work if it's a cover or a remix.
Can anyone post a guitar tab for this song? I would love to play it!
How do you guys not have more subscribers this music is sublime
My favorite track of yours by far. And I love a lot of your work.
If anyone has ever played within the ring of fire Tabletop game, this reminds me of Luk-coo.
How come I don't see this on Aviators youtube channel?
Assassin 2o3 I’m almost amazed, he’s getting big enough for YouTube to exploit him.
No short story about the song in the description? :/
Always love to read them.
To follow up on what the other guy said, if there is a short story description for this song (and iirc there is), it should be on Bandcamp.
i god damn love this album
417 subs seriously? You guys should be in the thousands range.
Nevermind I am an idiot.
I'm seriously getting New Vegas vibes from this, and loving it.
i know you mean lonesome road but tbh boulevard of broken dreams fits it more
I say it everytime but you are the best musician ever!
Sticks and stones took a toll on me

The ones who lie pay for their crimes

DJ Pyro Teknikz how in the hell did you do this without editing

literally cpy paste
Easily my favorite song from this album. Absolutely beautiful and kinda gives me MGS5 vibes for some reason
For me it reminds me of the No Life No Game Zero Movie story
Originally for From Oceans to Skies.
The fact that it's the Rogue makes sense, now.
This song is easily my favorite, heard it at the end of Godhunter and immediately started looking for it. You guys never fail to impress me
I see this alot but this isnt a group, its just one guy....
Guy* sorry it was bothering me.
Pretty sure it's actually at the end of Red Water Dreams.
@Radosław Gołecki The album godhunter
"I've seen how long the fire lasts"
Is that a Dark Souls reference I spy 👀
@TheBladedSymbiote Which was itself a Dark Souls reference
@Norman Carmichael Sorry, I've never played Dark souls, so I didn't catch that.
@TheBladedSymbiote No worries, I apologize if my tone was aggressive. But yeah, the official music video for Let There Be Fire is shot using Dark Souls gameplay.
@Norman Carmichael It wasn't aggressive, and I know a lot of his music based on and uses Dark Souls for videos, seeing as they say what the song is based in the title of the video, except Traveler's Song, that wanted to go overboard with the games it's based on, it's still a great song.
The politeness of these comments is awe inspiring
