When I first heard this, I thought of one of my own characters who is now in a relationship with someone else's character. I sent them the song and said for some reason I see this as being their theme song, and they responded with "The two women who've been through hell and high water and ended up together." and that really got me thinking. It's a perfect song for them on all accounts, so now it's just their OTP theme song :)

I have to wonder - is the speaker in this song the watcher in Godhunter who warns the immortal 'the hate you hold, she has more'? That would really tie together some of the story

Great music

This has become, in my mind, my Paladins theme song. By the end of the campaign two of his friends where dead and beyond resurrection. The apocalypse they had fought so hard to stop had happened, and the group's adoptive son and his young paladin apprentice were also probably dead. Left wandering a broken world, driven forwards by only a desire for vengeance and bleak duty, I imagine this as his theme song.

That sounds depressing and also epic. Thats rough though buddy.

I used to not like Aviators at all. Now im not so sure. Heres what my problem always was: if your not some magical knight or supernatural being, then these songs wont really be relatable, just cringy and edgy in how the lyrics goes. Then theres the added salt to the wound of *describing the meaning of the song in description* . Like why would you do that? Not only are the descriptions Edgy-McEdgelord but you shouldnt describe the meaning of every word in your song if you want it to resonate with people from all walks of life throughout all points of time. Idk, just my opinion on the matter.

P.S: Ill ask everyone to please be civil if you want to have a conversation about this. I wont waste my time dealing with triggered fanboys. Thank you.

A fair opinion, and not one that I will attack. I can concede that some lyrics to some songs are indeed overly edgy or cringy (Shadows comes to mind) but honestly, for most songs that doesn't much matter to me. So long as the lyrics aren't completely awful or overly repetitive and I won't mind. I normally listen to instrumental music with a few exceptions (Aviators being one such exception) so I mainly care about the sound of the music with the meaning of the lyrics, while still important, coming second. The thing about the meaning in the description isn't really a problem for me anyways. Once I learned the meaning was in the description I made it into a game, where I try to figure out the meaning after a bunch of listens and then I see how close I was. I suppose it can't be that different from googling the meaning, so really I don't think it matters.

Then again, I'm hopelessly optimistic and view most things in a positive light, so who knows for sure

@Alexander Reid Thats one way to look at it. Its just that i personally *hate* when artist describe the meaning of their work, ruins alot of things for me. Theres this one guy called Stan SB who when asked what the meanings of his songs are he always responds with "I could say the meaning, but i know many people who have been helped in life from my music and i feel like if i gave the true meaning, id ruin theirs."

I'm going to agree with you there. I haven't really read the descriptions of a lot of the videos as it's not something I normally pay much attention to, but to describe a set meaning in your work of art leaves it in a closed method of interpretation that takes away the feeling of exploration and discovering the meaning. It would almost be a betrayal of the idea that each person has their own interpretation of things.

This song is literally perfect for a story I'm writing. It's a knight who rebels from his King, fights the King and his armies, and wins against all odds, only to wonder what he was fighting for the whole time, because everything he had done was rooted in love for his King and desire for recognition from him, not a desire to rule. I dunno, the song just feels perfect. Thank you, the song is beautiful either way!

This song makes me think of the Doctor after the Time War! It just really makes me think of him, with everything he's seen, everything he's done, and everyone he's lost. Especially Gallifrey, his home planet, which he had to destroy to stop a horrible war that spanned all of time and space.

This song is how I feel about New Aatrox Rework. As an Aatrox Main, my every reason to play League of Legends is gone... Old Aatrox's W... His old passive, everything about him was perfect to me. I grew emotional, and this character meant a lot to me as a kid growing into a teenager, he is one of the greatest gaming icons for me. I am ... scared of change. Be it on my favorite games. Tv shows, movies, music. Anime, manga. You name it... But worse of it, my comfortable daily life. This song quite remarks that, that feeling of being on your own, and needing a guide when being lost. That no matter what, we all need someone to lift us up when we are feeling down, support from our closest friends and family, our loved ones. It's called hope, happiness, and over all. It makes us feel secure, secure and knowing. Knowing that we can get through everything and anything fate throws in our way. No matter how unreasonable it is. That is human nature, when we all decide to bear through the pain; together.

After all, isn't that what formed nations? Solidarity and sacrifice.
