I wish many people and I couldn't relate to this song, but when I hear it somehow I feel like it is about how families, couples and friends were torn apart in my country.

Every line, every verse, the tune...it all reminds me of everyday life in this rotten country...

Can’t tell who would fit this song better. The vault dweller, the chosen one, the lone wanderer, the courier Six or the SS

To me it fits the sole survivor of vault 111 nothing's going to fill the space between you and I reminds me of him/her and Shaun and depending on your route they drift further and further apart over time

And in the end he reminisces about how he wishes things could go back to how things used to be which fits the line "living in the past"

ya know, the fallout universe isn't all that bad compared to some others, I mean. Atleast there are plenty of functioning communities, and actual civilizationn

even in the original fallout there were serious problems after 100 years.
the main saving grace was the amount of weapons that slaughtered vaults and the pre-war military abandoned after the bombs dropped.

I doubt people would laugh at the wacky antics and stuff in fallout if Bethesda would just make the damn game that takes place just after the bombs fell where most of the savagery started happening and the creatures began to mutate/escape from military compounds.

I just don't think they want to get into that part of the lore in a video game and would rather it stay in hushed whispers in the games or book form to not turn off some of the player base.

Assuming this is Fallout 4, that line perfectly describes the character's journey. First loosing the world, then his/her spouse, then their son after finding him again. All for nothing. No happy ending. And you're left asking yourself, "what now?"
That emotional roller-coaster is why I enjoyed this game so much.

you know, weighing the options, Fallout is pretty tame compared to some war/post-war games.

You are kinda right... there is actually civilisation, there is even a working money system, and the mutated creatures are getting pushed back. (even though the real threat are the humans...)

This feels like what the Sole Survivor feels whilst surviving as he finished finding his son. No matter the ending you choose you still lose your son. This really gives off the depressed state the main character feels after Shaun dies.

This is so good, it physically hurts. It has been so long (too long) since last time i listened something this good. Being busy with dumb ''important'' stuff is never fun when those make you actually forget things, even if you like them very much. I wish my brain had more memory or just could keep track of things more efficiently. Anyways, this is a great song and is my favorite from Fallout songs. Remains is close second.

I don't think I'd really call this industrial rock, it does have a kinda of a NIN vibe, but it also doesn't seem quite harsh enough.

I just wanted to say that if you want to get an idea of industrial rock, listen to Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, or Rammstein (although technically speaking, Rammstein is industrial METAL instead, but that's still kind of close).
