this is a difference among artists...some, like Zee, have talent on many levels and those levels might or might not be recognized..even by those who love her work.

i'm a little late in discovering her second album. in a way, i am glad that i was, or i wouldn't have discover it at the most perfect timing in my life ("Stay in the Clouds" gave me the cheer i needed during difficult times). anyway, what you think she is singing about in this song? who is she referring to the "you" that she's trying to find? i don't think it's supposed to be a guy, but metaphorically 'referring to 'fame' or 'the city' which she is seeking for acceptance. i could be wrong. but it's a great song anyway.

Love the song. Something about it is so familiar though. I think the chorus might have the same melody as a Cardigans or Sixpence None the Richer song. On a side note, if Pixar/Disney ever does another musical and needs a singer for a child protagonist, I think Zee Avi would be perfect. There's something so innocent and child-like about her voice.
