The opening fills are so melodic and calming, then all hell breaks loose XD

I've listened to really scary anxiety inducing bands but its so weird to hear 14 year old girl screams on earlier albums, then on city of evil it was about as close as you could get to Justin Bieber vocals without being gay, and then on self titled they were using auto tune and shit and experimenting and like it was so happy and became less emotionally driven and more just about the music but then in this song to hear these low screams from m shadows is scary tbh just cuz like its so unexpected, but then again ig that's how ppl felt when they heard critical acclaim for the first time lol

I remember the first time I heard this song. I added this album to a playlist, the only song I heard on it was nightmare (LMAO) the playlist was on shuffle, and I turned the music on as I went to sleep. A few songs go by and im at the point where you aren't fully asleep, but you're JUST about to fall asleep, you can hear everything around you but its muffled I guess. And then this song played, I was fooled by the beautiful beginning, I was drifting off. And then it got loud, really loud. It scared the absolute shit out of me. I had never heard a song this heavy from A7X, I jumped up and was so confused and terrified. I began to turn the volume down immediately but the only thing I could hear was "God hates us! God hates us all!"
