I agree J Cole is in no way a fraud. J Cole is one of the best rappers out there. Born Sinner, 4 your eyes only, FHD absolute killer albums.

I have to admit KOD was far far below his usual standards, well and away his worst album. This is from someone that rates J Cole highly usually.

Also Avelino is stupidly underrated, I’m not sure if he’s got the work rate to compete with Cole but his lyricism is at the very least comparable. His metaphors and juxtaposition are consistently thought inducing and he does this while also making a tune.

In summary I’m not saying Avelino is better than Cole but Cole seems to be regressing lyrically and Avelino progressing.
