This song is so powerful. I had a compilation 2005 CD that included Avalon OUTSTANDING SINGER JODY MCBRAYER singing this tremendous song. Years later I asked my church's choir director to listen to this song requesting that he have the choir sing this song, however, after he listened to it he returned my CD and stated that, this is actually not an easy song to sing, and further, no one had the vocal range to sing it. Then I gave the CD to a church choir member to only listen to that one song and ask her what she thought of it. About three years have passed and, sadly, I no longer have that CD. Now here I am July 2015 and I search for this song, "You Were There" and God love you, I find it here. Thank you. This is one of the most profound songs I have ever heard; it moves me very deeply. You are very much appreciated. May God bless you and the people who listen to Jody sing this truly awe inspiring song. :)
