Autopilot Off - Byron Black Lyrics

I met a man named Byron Black
And he carried his life strapped to his back
On a sidewalk in Houston he called home
Crying "Don't you forget me"
He said "Don't you forget me"

You don't know
What it's like to walk alone
You don't know
And I hope you never will

Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing
Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing

And what can I do now?

Faces of people he would see
They were colder than any city street
And the days go on and on and they just walk by
He said "I'm disappearing"
He said "I'm disappearing"

You don't know
What it's like to walk alone
You don't know
And I hope you never will

Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing
Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing

And we all were given names
But our hearts don't work the same
By-products of an evolution
Lost souls look for a lost solution
Now...

Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing
Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing
Every stride wears a sole more thin
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing
Every stride wears a sole more thin
(And I want to know where the lost souls go)
Until it's slowly worn down to nothing
(And if we're all alone then are we nothing?)
No!

Their best song in my opinion. As a guy from Czech republic I know this band thanks to NHL 2004 and their song Clockworks. There was zero chance in the Czech radios to get stuff like that. Except Offspring, Avril, Green Day. God bless youtube. They sound same like in NHL 2004 years before.

    Reddit brought me here.

They were awesome, but couldn't keep it together due to mismanagement in the band: all talented and kept doing music.

Why the fuck is this band not bigger?  Internal and marketing problems?  These guys are the best thing I've ever heard.

I FOUND a goddam iPod on the sidewalk at night. I cleaned it off and charged it, and it had 998 songs on it. THIS SONG is on that iPod, and it brought me here. 159 hits? Wow, I was expecting at least 159,000.

one of the coolest ways finding something leads to finding something else, and so on. Pretty awesome!
