August Burns Red - The Truth Of A Liar Lyrics
Allow what's done to preach new insight to your life.
Hindsight is perfect vision.
The past is easiest to see.
Clear a path.
Stand aside.
There's no stopping us.
You think you're everything to everyone.
Go ahead.
Partake in it.
Justify it.
Become engulfed in it.
It will eat you alive.
This is not a one way road.
You're headed for the dead end.
You might think you're everything to everyone.
You're not a perfect man in a perfect world.
Look at where your ignorance has brought you.
All this will be buried.
Like the fall of Rome, you can't let your ignorance exploit you.
You will come crashing down.
The truth hurts, but denial's what will kill you.
All that you loved, all that you treasure, will pass with time.
Blinded by the inability to see beyond flesh and blood.
Shifting blame with a log in your eye.
Insisting that a string tied to your limbs is what's to blame.
Suck it up and bite the bullet.

Did that fucktard Misha mix this garbage?
The greatest intro ever
TO EVERYONEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I love this.
This band is the only band that I can honestly say has the best guitar riffs to ever exist
Meddler has some fine guitar work that's really fascinating and genre breaking. Haven't heard songs from them that hold the same standard as messengers and constellations. I don't know why. They say they have grown but to me it feels like the opposite.
3 dislikes, what the fuck man ?
The problem is that modern metal mixing is so clean and polished that it just sucks the life out of the song. Metal is loud and lively. The original mix was unique. The second you heard it you knew that it was a song from Messengers. This just kind of sounds like any other mix you'd hear in 2018. It sounds great. Everything is clear and crisp, but I don't think metal is totally about being as clear and crisp as possible.
TheRealMikeShea to me this sounds more realistic lol the original sounds like samples a lot of the time. This sounds like real instruments.
TheRealMikeShea, agreed. This is good but it sounds way too polished.
There is a very unknown band by the name of Standards. Search Standards - act of the giver. I loved their EP. It is extremely heavy and has that rich and nasty metal sound. Do check them out for they are REALLY good. They don't exist anymore though.
I commented on one of Charles Caswell videos basically asking him if he would ever do a video where people can hear what his actual screaming voice sounds like without the EQ and compression and he replied with, would you want to watch movies without the CGI and added special effects? I kind of thought it was a dick answer at first but he has a valid point. Obviously there was a market to remaster and remix Messengers so why complain at all when you can have both
There is a special place in hell for people who dislike this. God bless.
Me hacia falta escuchar esta brutalidad de álbum !
Graciassssss hijueputas
Tienen que venir a COLOMBIA !!!
Will buy for sure, need to rebuy messengers anyways.
Man Jake Luhrs was such a fuckin beast on this album I wish he still sounded like this but I'm not shittin on how he sounds now. Just the line "there's no stopping us" and the raw strain in his voice give me goosebumps every time.
no more.... "Stop! Stand aside, wreck her in the torso!" haha :P
No dislikes so far, better stay like this
@Kratos_God_of_50_BMG Haha, no! You don't understand. If I see the title of the video I still have to hear it to have an opinion about it. Do you think that every single people who likes ABR will like the remaster? I'm asking again: Is it really that hard to believe that some people just don't like it after they heard it?
Okay, one last try. I completely understand that there are people who *genuinely* dislike a song (hence a proper use of the thumbs down) and then there are people who do it out of spite. Big difference!
@Kratos_God_of_50_BMG Yes, there is a big difference. But how can you tell it which one is it? What O.P. said is completely against any opinion which is against his.
Well we can’t tell who leaves thumbs down just to be an ass, *but* we can make sure that we only thumbs down a video because we legit don’t like it, and for no spiteful reasons.😉
@Kratos_God_of_50_BMG The very first comment (O.P) is just as bad as thumbs down for spiteful reasons. It is provocative and I don't blame the ones who leaves thumbs down only because of that.
The kick sample on this song is much better
The guitars and drums and everything sounds better. People just prefer the original version because it captures that true, shitty metalcore guitar vibe so perfectly. This sounds so much better. Everyone go check out Earth Groans!!
man you can really hear the sexy guitar and bass riffs now, not just the PSHHH PSHHH of the china the whole time so cripsy
PSHHH PSHHH lol made my day
Lmao. Spot on
Messengers is my first ABR album and still my favorite ABR album so far, so I really miss the harsh china sound.
But this still sounds great, a little less hurtful to the ears of people with not-so-good earphones/headphones/whatever \m/
This song is still great :D
This mix has no power behind it. Not raw and relentlessly powerful like the first mix
Shaddap.
then go listen to the first mix
It's the drums. I had the same opinion at first but, I love how clean the drums are now and how clear the guitar is :)
Oh Yes.
This remix is SAUCY!!!! Sound so much better!
as i said b4 ..... beautiful........ just beautiful tears come out and i swear im no where near crying
What the fuck makes this different from the original version?
this is produced by Carson Slovak rather than Tue Madsen. bass is turned up a bit more, china sounds a bit different, guitars sound a bit different. it's a different look on Messengers.
the original album was mixed incredibly hot. zero dynamics. Take 'Back Burner' from the original mix for instance: the last breakdown "i hope you survived the crash" has an 808 bass drop that literally distorts the rest of the music because of its intensity and overall loudness. It doesn't help that everything else is already being pushed to the limit for loudness. You should notice that the songs now sound cleaner with less distortion because of this full remix. The drums are also not as intense as the original mix and now you can actually hear the bass guitar. This mix is now similar to the 'Constellations' and 'Leveler' albums.
Beau Ferchaud gang
Favorite song.
Original mix will definitely hold its nostalgia with its crazy high end and over-crunched compression, but this new mix does Messengers the justice it has deserved for over a decade.
Kyle Bishop you couldn't have said it better
kyle bishop couldn't agree more
I love both mixes but this is definitely more modern sounding. I've heard the old version a million times I dont think I will choose it over this one for that reason
what do u mean remixed? re master re record? for me old tune is better. :)
I'm not sure what the technically term is (I'm not an audiophile), but they said on their fb page that they took the original recorded tracks of each instrument etc. and remixed it. Again, that might not technically be a "remix." Basically they brought Dustin through the mix a lot more and made the drums much more punchy. I'm sure they made other edits, but again, I'm not an audiophile, so I can't pick out the minute differences.
TheRandomSpectator this is like re tune like previous album
from previous album same abr signature sounds
