This comment section is cancer. I generally like ABR but this song is stupid. On their wiki they state they don't want to shove Christianity down peoples throats and want the music to speak for itself. My opinion on the band doesn't change but this song is just ignorant. Good song! I'm new to August Burns Red, and it's great that there are bands out here who are preaching Gods word without shoving it down people's throats. As a Christian, I don't mind atheism. I don't like it, but I don't mind it either. It's just a different religion. Personally, I would never be an atheist because I've seen the things that God is doing in my life, but I can associate with atheists. The people I can't stand are anti-theists, who bash Christians for what they believe. I also believe in God because biblical prophecy is coming true every single day. But, I take a religious meaning away from all of ABR's songs because they are a Christian band.

And regarding how much credit they should be given, I think the idea is not to look for how much credit should be given, but if you realize that a person or a group of people are perpetuating a negative action or idea, then try to change it in a positive way, and change it for the better of that person or group. I guess I am saying just be the best person you can, try to help others with negative things instead of simply hating them or trying to make them feel bad for it, and to enact the changes you want to see in this world. Upon re-reading the conversation...I have to say I agree with you. But I'm not sure just how accurate these peoples' views are. I know that Christians believe that Jesus died for their sins...but I wasn't aware that that means belief alone can get them into Heaven. I actually thought they believed deeds get them into Heaven. My religion believes it is deeds---along with belief---that gets one into heaven. Strange...

Monotheism - a belief in one god
Atheism - lack of belief for a god

'Theism' means god or deity,'mono' means one, and 'a' signifies a negative. So atheism is a simple lack of belief for god. Atheists dont hop on irrational bandwagons to try and explain things we cant yet explain. We follow reason and science as it looks at the reality to see what is actually true. You make a valid point but his decision is held by his character, or his morals rather, if he has forgiven you and you are cleansed in cannot simply just not let you in heaven. So yes he did die for all of our sins, but it is our duty now to show the world we love him the best ways we can.
