So who knows that the lyrics here were based on a gay friend coming out, so that LGBT members wouldn't have to feel alone? Think of this, August Burns Red is a Christian band, and it seems like they are trying to support the LGBT community.

But the LGBT community supports open, unrepentant, sinful lifestyles that are in direct rebellion against God. (Please reference Romans 1:24-27, Jude verse 7, 1 Corinthians 6:9 from the New Testament, and Leviticus 18:22, and 20:13 from the Old, although there are more still, but this is sufficient).
Not only does the LGBT live in sin themselves, but they also are prideful about it and give approval to others who are in rebellion against God in the same way as them. Again from Romans 1, verse 32:
" and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them."
And which is worse? Sexual immorality or pride in the face of God with that immorality? Truthfully that is a hard question, but I would say the pride is even worse than the sexual immorality, for "God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble." and "God knows the proud from afar."
So what is the CHRISTIAN community trying to do, when various members and groups try to justify homosexuality by reinterpreting the word, by blanketing over the obvious sin and pride with "God's love", as if we can somehow enjoy the good things of God even while having no fear of Him, and no respect for His commandments?
Do these "christians" want to tell the LORD that He is mistaken? That His Word is not important? That His repeated commandments concerning homosexuality and pride are irrelevant?
Do these "christians" even love with a Godly love THEMSELVES? Knowing that Real love does not delight in evil? Understanding that Real love rejoices with the truth? (1Cor13).
Or are these fake, so-called Christ-followers, instead following the sensuality of their culture, and by so doing blaspheming the way of Truth? (2Peter2). Ah, yes... I think we can rest assured that this is what is actually happening. They are blaspheming the way of truth, desiring to please men rather than God. Not standing against rebellious acts, because it isn't "politically correct".
Love your gay friends by teaching them to deny themselves! Does it matter if they were born gay or not? No, for we were all BORN into sin. Some into one sin, and others into another. Some are liars, some are violent, some are lustful, some are proud, some are homosexual, some are greedy, some are child pedophiles, some are sexually attracted to animals, some are psychopaths, some are sociopaths, some are pyromaniacs, and the list goes on.
But we have all alike been given an opportunity for a NEW IDENTITY. Why then are Christians wavering on this, and siding with the World instead of God- trying to justify the old identities of men (and themselves) which we have been set free from in Christ!? Believe the Gospel, and promote the New identity! One that is pure and in covenant with God.
