They really progressed and got much more refined, these songs on this album are a good mix, never cared too much for these guys but I'm digging this album.

They should have released this song under a different band name, like Corey Taylor does with stone sour.

If you legally change your name the next time you're feeling sentimental, then they should change their band name for a soft song. Otherwise, naw.

So far this album seems pretty different than anything they've done, and they've always been pretty versatile. I think I like it.

Creatively, I think it's their best work. Sick songwriting and production

@Rampaging Shrew haha easy bud. They are still really good, all im saying is, its weird hearing this music from atreyu when they have such insane heavy songs that made them so famous. Brandon is a great singer, hence the reason for starting hell or highwater. Its not as heavy as atreyu. Again great song, just trippy seeing that sound is from atreyu

As is see it, combining grawling and regular singing is what makes Melodic Death Metal the best. Dont mind these softer albums if the tunes and lyrics are done well, and i really think they have done well on this new album.

@Joseph Multerer i have to disagree with you here, first it was lead sails and a paper anchor, congregation of the damned had a mixture of singing and alex screaming but long live, alex screams in every song, which i consider heavy, the spirit reminded me of the curse/a deathgrip and this most recent one, it is similar to what avenged sevenfold did with their self titled/white album, which was very different, you could tell it was them but different and somewhat experimental, i get the same vibe here but we've still got the heavy hitters, nothing will ever change, I mean the literally sound may not be as heavy but that heavy aspect carries through in other songs, their lyrics shine strong as ever in my opinion which I do consider the power/heaviness of their lyrics similar to the past

@Joseph Gonzales very fair point good sir. Ill always be an atreyu fan. They are OG's. Nostalgia is just a motherfucker lol. But you cant grow as a band if you dont expand your horizons. Luckily atreyu is a band to take big risks and they pretty much always deliver. Much respect to them.

Terrified, In Our Wake, Anger Left Behind is the 3 best in my opinion, but just like the whole album tbh, gives me freaking chills when heavy bands is able to both do grawl and regular singing, freaking love it !
