Atomship - Friends Lyrics
Hey momma! Can't you see I'm fuckin' cookin'?
It wasn't right for me but I knew it was time for home.
It was half past ten but all the lights were on.
Did you read his face as blank as it was.
And he said...
All my friends, are bloated and floating away.
I left all my friends back around the bend.
The water turned to black as the night rolled on in.
I couldn't hear a sound as I slowly turned around.
There I saw my friends all god damn face down.
And he said...
And I walk on down, I don't feel the pain.
And I'll raise my eyes.
Won't you let me raise my eyes?
Momma let me raise my eyes?
Won't you let me raise my eyes again?
All my friends, are bloated and floating away.

Atomship Friends Comments
Reminds me of the band Ra
Atomship kicked ass on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at CPR Fest 2005!
I hung out with these guys in 2004 or 5 at the 105 club in Jackson Mississippi! They are from the coast in MS. Cool dudes and Chad is the best drummer in the world! Very under rated dude!
POD mixed with Fred Durst
So what if Chad "stole" the beat from tool. How about a simple quarter note bass drum on 1, snare on 2, eighth note bass drum on 3 and snare on 4.... how many songs is that in? are the drummers stealing that? The fact that he can even play the polyrhythm is amazing and it sounds great in the song. Why hate?
Chad is on a whole different level dude! If you cant hear that then I don't know what to say. That little MF might be the best drummer in the world!
This exactly!
I'm sure danny carey has less of a problem with it than you do.
I agree with you!!!’ Everyone’s copied someone in some respect when it comes to beats and riffs. I had never even heard Danny’s beats on the Tool track. I heard this song first and fucking loved it. As a drummer myself, I could really give a fuck who made the beat first. This drummer displays skills on every track of this album. Besides, imitation is the finest form of flattery.
Peace Love Light and Fruit hey dumb fuck, I’m a huge tool fan and I think chad Kent is a better drummer than Danny Carey :)
Damn what a groove
+Colin Kelley He ripped it off from Danny Carey in Tool's song eulogy. 6:37 mark is where it starts in eulogy.
I saw this band when i was 7 years old at Cains Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were absolutely amazing and I met the entire band afterwards. They were ecstatic to see such a small child at their show and treated my family and I like royalty and hung out with us for the entire show. This was an amazing band full of great guys!!!
@Tobi Comstock Come back and listen to this song again. lol. I'll message you in another year so you can come back then too. :P
here's a notification reminder. Welcome back to this great song
It's such a god damn tragedy to me that AtomShip broke up so quickly. They had so much potential for greatness...
Makes me smile 😊
My brother Joey Culver..is like that in real life. Down to earth, chill, never treats anyone poorly. Hand is always there to help. I'll pass the message along
Watership down does it better
They both do it great
"Hey Skyler."
"CAN'T YOU SEE WE'RE FUCKIN' COOKIN'?"
"Sorry Walt"
You've claimed all this time that.. :D
I personally like watership down's version of this song better, when they had their original singer, Derek Pardoe.
@aryn32 Just this one...they disbanded a few years ago.
:23 = eulogy.
@iWentToNam everyday bitch...
lol but forreal they have a lot a talent and limp bizkit sucks so it pissed me off that hes in the equation.
@iWentToNam I know lol I actually learned it not too long ago, however Mothra I dont think I'll learn anytime soon haha, still listen to this album all the time too
@sk8trdude85 pencil fight is probably one of the easiest songs to learn.... aliens is very hard
@BDean97 no your such an idiot.... thats a pretty unique and original polyrhythm... so its kinda disappointing.....
@zombiebuttnugett you mad bro? i thinks you is mad brah
@iWentToNam yeah you dumb fucking shit
*sigh* the open hi-hat verses are a copy of Eulogy by tool... Sorry peepz but noone touches danny carey from tool, chads a good fucking drummer but danny owns him
\\m// (^_^) \\m//
fuck i miss these guys. i got to meet them and chill with them back in like 2003 at culture room in ft lauderdale.. then they toured with evanescence and now he's with papercut massacre
@hbhuff Did you tape the show? it seems no one has this band live.
This whole album is genius. I don't think I've ever listened to one specific album as much as I have with this one...the chorus drum beats with the china and double bass sound amazing, in fact, whole song does. Some of these songs will go down as some of the hardest drum songs. "Mothra" and "Pencil Fight" :D
Chad is the best drummer I have herd to date! Without a doubt !
definitely. he goes back into it for the verses. still stick that he does it, it's a hard beat to do, and it fits the song pretty well.
too bad the song isent good like the intro
:( I would like a system of a down song with this intro :p
The beginning reminds me of Jack Black for some reason lol.
