Athlete - Shake Those Windows Lyrics

Lives in edinburgh
Just across the road
Sometimes my stereo and in my aching bones
Its on the sugar hill and in your ringtone

Shake those windows
Songs and songs and beats and rhymes in life
This blackout it just helps to love those clear night skies

Just let the record play and bring it back again
You can't appreciate what we were into then
In two seconds the beat was recognised
And all the old school heads nodded back in time
And though we just met i've known you all my life

Shake those windows
Songs and songs and beats and rhymes in life
This blackout it just helps to love those clear night skies

Just let the record play and bring it back again
You can't appreciate what we were into then
Just let the record play and bring it back again
You can't appreciate what we were into then

Just let the record play and bring it back again
You can't appreciate what we were into then
Just let the record play and bring it back again
You can't appreciate what we were into then

Just let yourself go
Just let yourself go
Just let yourself go
Just let yourself go

Just let yourself go
Just let yourself go
Just let yourself go
Just let yourself go

  10. Yvette Ybarra

Okay, is it just me, or does the sound quality seem to change in the middle of the song? I'm new to Athlete, but is that purposely done?

  11. Kawaipuna Kalipi

    OMG BEST SONG EVER

  25. Iskandar Soekardi

They are so amazing. Every song on this album is refreshing and colourful. I put the whole album on repeat, scramble them and then again repeat. Nuts about 'em!

  27. ady10001

  28. royal jibber

First saw Athlete in Manchester supporting REM at Lancs cricket ground and i was mesmerised, especially by this song. Went to see them a year or so later in Blackpool and to be honest they weren't great. On the night the Magic Numbers were much better. Funny old game.

  29. Glenn Bogaert

I know that feeling. Athlete is also one of my favourite bands but in Belgium no one cares about them. It' sad but on the other hand, the stay alternative and that's better than following the commercial wave.

  30. Neil Lewis

i love how my favourite bands dont seem to get as big as i think they deserve to be.
    its a shame for them.
but it means i can say "have you heard athlete? no.... well then, you dont know fuck all, there the dogs bollocks init etc"

  31. Graham Lewie
