As far as I am concerned this band can not put a foot wrong. At The Gates thank you so much for reuniting and showing the scenekidcore generation how REAL METAL is done.

19 years is a long time (I've only been around for 27) but they haven't lost an ounce of brilliance. With their last album and now this.

I listen to much less metal these days yet hearing Tompa always WORKS! And he's not even the most versatile singer yet I can't help but eat his words! Wherever nonetheless, every side project also...hats off!

Honestly, I came back to their new stuff after realizing I'm going to see them playing with Behemoth, so I'm looking at it with the criteria of: "would I enjoy seeing this performed live?" and the answer is "absolutely yes" so I'm enjoying it a lot more than I originally did.

This is solid, but it does make me miss the anguished vocals of Tomas in his youth.

Still fucking kickass, though!

This video reminded me of Trivium - The Heart From Your Hate

Don't like the distortion on vocals. Also don't like the reverb in spots. All instruments sound like they're playing through static. This track reminds me of Seplutura's Roots CD. Has some potential, but post-processing ruined what could have been a slightly above average track.

Have to say this song is growing on me a lot more, especially the 2nd half. It builds a thick, dark atmosphere, especially 3:02 and after when all the different sonic layers blend in together.

I'm a bit concerned about the production and mix, that is bad!.... yet the songs are great (no surprise here)!!! ATG /m/

BDM isn't really in the same genre anymore, Unhallowed was basically almost a direct ATG rip but since then I don't think they fit into melodic death, they have more elements of black metal and tech-death blended in. ATG has much more simple song structures and riffs, less speed, etc.

Agree BDM is better though, Nightbringers was amazing.
