At The Drive-In - Mannequin Republic Lyrics

They'd call it a wasteland
Auslander plates
You know its armor was human
Drove stakes into the main camps
Eye sockets sank into
The back of its head again
This frequency was jet lagged
Yes the wrinkles mate
Was the owner's manual

Frequent flyers in denial
And all the while
Emergency is evident
Revenants were the statues
Radar learning of huddles masses

Sutured all the patience
Of this nursing home
Omitted from the pages
Of this burial ground
Sutured all the patience
Of this nursing home
Omitted from the pages
Of this burial ground

Labor concentrated
In this sheepless chapel
Labor concentrated
In this sheepless chapel

They call it a wasteland
They call it a wasteland, baby
They call it a wasteland
They call it a wasteland baby
They call it a, they call it a
They call it a, they call it a

Sutured all the patience
Of this nursing home
Omitted from the pages
Of this burial ground
Sutured all the patience
Of this nursing home
Omitted from the pages
Of this burial ground

All I can think of is playing Call of Duty as a teenager, yelling "THEY CALL IT A WASTELAND" every time the map Wasteland was loading. Good memories. Good sniper map.

Because of At The Drive In's cover of This Night Has Opened My Eyes I can't listen to Mod Flanders Conspiracy without thinking of At The Drive In. Which I enjoy allot, it is my favorite version of the song, and it links allot of further respect I have for the band. <3

  17. Aaron Braden

I have all there albums except this one. But I've hear it over a million times. I need to go ahead and buy this one as well

  18. George Kaplan

Still one of the most exciting rock bands I have ever heard, and this album in particular was full of amazing songs with complexity and fantastic use of language in the lyrics.

  29. musiclover01ization

@MordaciousFilms Come on, tmv is not that bad. I'm a fan of their music. Maybe it time for a change that atdi decided to break up. You have to at like a few songs from them. They're actually pretty good.

  47. Mcruled

FUCK MCR! sorry but they suck compared to ATDI, TFOT, Tera Melos, and well basically anyone else

  48. Wolfatadoor

This song is immensely underrated. One of the best off RoC.

  49. Adam Maginley

    @zoomburger412
I've listened to them for awhile before i found this band I wasn't emo or anything but MCR is ok. They're good for mainstream they obviously were inspired by ATDI. Theres a lot better out there than MCR but ATDI was simply the top, you can't beat the energy the band gives you.

  50. wannyyydilliamsss

@VioletChildBand too right mate, i'd absolutely spunk myself if I found some.

  51. Floruit Fraxinus

my chemical romance sucks compared to these guys. I see people saying this song reminds them of my chemical romance, too bad At The Drive-In came first. These guys went from 1993 to 2001 and 2001 was the year that My Chemical Romance got together and "said hey let's start a band." What are the odds that a band that is big now got inspired by a band that was around years before them.

  52. Ian Wright

    @lustersoul75

Yep. Assorted Jelly Beans - Rebel Yell.

  53. Ian Wright

I think that Assorted Jelly Beans sounds similar to this.

  54. wannyyydilliamsss
