Superb voices, as ever! I have the soundtrack LP and, yes, I agree with others....this is better than the "Stop Your Motor" version.
It has an R&B vibe to it which makes this song really cool to listen.
Excellent counter-point on last verse...Great disonant ah on bridge....Prefer this version the best of the 2 made......What a Band!!

This song seems like it belongs on the "still played" list of oldies. Nice, mellow song with a "feel good" melody. Discovered it by VHS taping Goodbye Columbus in '90.
The incomparable Larry Ramos is absolutelyamazing on the lead vocal here!! This is easily superior to the other version. One of the top three bands/artists of the sixties along with Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde( who happen to be personal friends of mine) and The Grassroots. Also up there are P.F. Sloan, The Kinks,The Left Banke, and The Beach Boys!!!
I agree....this version was better...the band was really tight vocally once Jules re-joined and made it a 7 man band
