Association, The - Changes Lyrics

Words don't come so easily to me
Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong
Somehow I get along

Sometimes I'm mistaken
And believe me I am achin' from the times
I'm wrong within my song

But every time you're near
The words come out so neat and clear, and

You'll make some changes in me, let me tell you what I see
Changes in me, yeah

I know that you're not perfect
And I don't expect that kind of scene
You know just what I mean

I know sometimes you're walkin' and you're talkin'
You seem to get off the track
You most always get right back

It's only when you doubt yourself
That you get misplaced on your shelf

Just make your changes and see
You'll make some changes in me, yeah
You got the power and the reason for the rhyme
So lay it down I'll pick it up
And I'll put it in my mi-hi-hi-hind

Sometimes words don't make it so I'll play

So now I've sung my song
To you, I hope you enter but it's true
Sometimes I fall along the way
But then night always turns to day

You sing your song, I'll sing mine
And if they intertwine it's mighty good
If they don't it's understood, it's understood

You'll make some changes in me, let me tell you what I see
Changes in me, yeah
You got the power and the reason for the rhyme
So lay it down I'll pick it up
And I'll put it in my mi-hi-hi-hind hi-hi-hind
Hi-hi-hind, hi-hi-hind

"It's only when you doubt yourself

If all you know of the Association is the 1968 Greatest Hits album, please understand that a producer remixed several of the songs and then EQ'ed them to sound in some cases radically different. I love the original 1966 mixes of this material, such as what we are hearing here. Thanks EarpJohn!

    The Radio Station
Showtime Rádio is an internet radio service, devised to bring back the greatest hits from the 60’s and 70’s from all around the world, including Brazilian’s Popular Music (MPB). In those years, the best of the music scene was not only on the beaches, streets and mountains, but also in the studios. These decades became memorable for the seemingly endless summer nights in the northern hemisphere, when musicians got to know new drugs and, as a result of these experiences, new sound effects appeared.
During this period, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, The Who, The Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye and many others have released their records and redefined pop and rock music. In Brazil, we can’t forget about Gilberto Gil, Caetano and their friends.
Rocked by the best music of all times, we have a strong and independent journalism. We bring news, opinions and comments of our journalists in order to help our public to understand the world where we live.
Our radio service counts with the most innovative radio system, transmitted in a digital stereo system, with a streaming of 128kb, 24 hours a day, everyday.
For us from Showtime Rádio, the endless summer nights have never ended! www.showtimeradio.com.br

My roommate in college in 1967, '' The Green Mist '', loved to jump up and down on the bedsprings in his floppy white socks in our dormitory room when I played this!!!

    M.... ....

No one ever really learned his actual name just ''The Green Mist"!!!
