Art Garfunkel - O Come All Ye Faithful Lyrics

O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

I remember hearing this on a car radio a long time ago but with piano accompaniment instead of guitar. Had to pull over to take it in. DJ announced that it was from an album called '' A Columbia Christmas''. I still look for it every year in the holiday music section of some remaining record stores.

I agree with C Johnson wishing Artie would make a whole album of classic Christmas music. This was such a treat and leaves me wanting more. What a treasure this man is. Purely sent from God. We are all lucky to have this song from him. Thank you Artie.

Damn, Jewish guy made a great Xmas album.

I don't care much for the Christian aspect of the festive season (For me it is all about Yule :)), but I love Art Garfunkel's voice. It is very endearing :)

at xmas time, we are supposed to be celebraing the birthof the prince of peace.
but do we? just look at all the materialism in the shops up to xmas day.
bargain, half price sales, you name it, people begging for money etc.
and we slaughter MILLOION of animals. for what reason? gluttonism?

What a beautiful version of this traditional Christmas song...wish Art would have made a whole album of Christmas music.
    The Animals Christmas is close.

@kylecrazyford thank-you for understanding! I also agree with you :)

@Zarkania7 Hey Man. I Totally Agree. As The Son of a Jew and a Catholic, I grew up believing strongly in God (Still Do), and I've never really felt that God condemns us what we like or believe in. Yes, some really sinners will go to Hell "to suffer" (i.e. Hitler) but more often than not, god's love is unconditional and there's nothing we can do to chnage that.

@1footonthedawn Wow.....wonderfully said, couldn't agree more. Merry Christmas.

The beautiful video evokes the famous solstice poem by Robert Frost (Stopping by ...) Winter will be followed by spring, but only in nature, never so in an individual human life. Let´s think about this, but not in grief.

I love Black Metal music which is known primarily to be Satanic, but I am explorative, and I most definitely love this type of music! It is so beautiful. I wish that the Christian God wasn't viewed in such a contemporary fundamentalist way because I do not feel condemned to Hell for what I like/believe in. I think of this is merely destructive humanism. The God I believe in is different than what most fundamentalist Christians believe in. Is this wrong? Please give me your comments. Thanks!

If you are to have a personal relationship with God, it must be thru Jesus Christ His Son. This can be done by putting you r personal trust in Jesus . It does not matter where you go to church or not. You do not have to be long to any group. Read the book of John in the Bible and also Romans 3:23. It is a matter of you putting you faith to work. Pray and ask Jesus into you heart and He will take care of the rest. I am an evangelical Christian and have found out that everything the Bible says about Jesus to be true. There is no other way to God . You my friend are not far from the kingdom of God.
