Used to play this on replay on my CD player when I was a kid, I feel like crying every time I hear this. I will play this song to my child someday :)

This is a beautiful song but it would be less without the sensitive accompaniment by Jimmy Webb, a true musical genius.

The comparisons between Simon & Garfunkel are endless but also pointless. Simon is the songwriter, Garfunkel is the voice - case closed. Of their solo careers, Garfunkel's music is a million times more listenable - for the obvious reason. Together they were brilliant of course - separate - not quite so.

Well said. Simon was a genius songwriter but he does not have the voice or the delivery Artie does. I agree that Art's music is more listenable. But I happen to think Artie is the sweetest man and his choices of songs, his angelic voice and his sweet yet powerful delivery are like no one else on the planet. #1 in my book. Amazing voice....amazing talent. And like Thomas Baker said. Beautiful and Art Garfunkel mean the same thing.

Why do many people still compare Art and Paul? Face to face with the solo achievement of either of them, this trend seems ridiculous. Why aren't we just grateful for having the great two? And why don't we make the best of their differences – for example now that Art bravely struggles with vocal cord paresis? Anyway, this is the first time I have heard the song. Many thanks from Prague – have a nice summer.

Let us not compare Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. It's not fair for Art and Paul .They are brilliant. Love your songs both. God bless .
