Armstrong, Louis - Weary Blues Lyrics

Well, I know that things won't be the same
And I know that you're the one to blame
When you broke my heart and made me cry
I am gonna bid my weary blues goodbye

Weary blues have made me cry
Well, these weary blues I'm gonna bid goodbye
I know, I won't forget you but I'll try
You know I am gonna bid my weary blues goodbye

Well, I know that things won't be the same
And I know that you're the one to blame
When you broke my heart and made me cry
I am gonna bid my weary blues goodbye

Weary blues have made me cry
Well, these weary blues I am gonna bid goodbye
I know, I won't forget you but I'll try
I am gonna bid my weary blues goodbye
I am gonna bid my weary blues goodbye

Armstrong, Louis Weary Blues Comments
  1. Urbino237

Louis age 25 at the time of this recording, only 3 years after having left New Orleans...astounding solo for someone so young.

NGO...Never Gets Old. Thanks for the post. Blessings

  3. Charles Zigmund

Re Zack, there is no comparison. The Hot Fives and Sevens are his peak work.

@Charles Zigmund "The Hot Fives and Sevens are his peak work." The Hot Fives and Sevens and the other material he recorded during the same period are his peak work.

  4. Dave Taylor

I'm pretty sure that's the virgin Mary under his bow tie, too.

  5. Myles Lenaught

I can listen to this for the rest of my life.

  6. Zack Briggs

I prefer for some odd reason Louis in his Hot Five and Hot Seven days rather than his All-Star days. He didn't use too many high high notes, although I like that sometimes. Does anyone know what I mean when I compare the Hot Five (Seven) days versus the All-Star days? There is a differnece..
