What a fantastic showman he was, he just oozed charisma. He was arguably the first black man to really make the big time in what was a very racist USA. He must have been a great performer to have gotten past all the racism of the era.

My introduction to this song is my father singing *home depot, wider than a mile* as we pass it on the highway

I used to sing this song so many times down at a lodge as well as what a wonderful world, those were fun times, I blew the people's minds because of the same raspy and soulful voice I have when I sang those songs.

This guy had a superior command of the art of music.
