was introduced to her music while in the army in germany in '77 and had to go to a record shop in france to find 'Show Some Emotion" and have been in love with her music ever since.was saddened to see recently where she said she is retiring and no longer going on tour.

I have been a "fan" of Joan Armatrading's since @1979...when I first saw her on the U.S. music show...MIDNIGHT SPECIAL. As I relisten to Joan's older albums...I am again continually amazed of how distinct musically...and with consistently solid lyrics...covering a range of human feelings, emotions, and experiences that Joan is able to but down...onto paper...and then into a finished quality studio song. Joan is a MASTER....of the human song.
