It's like she's come full circle. Sounds a lot like the earlier Joan Armatrading -- the one who could write poignant songs and rock out too. This is a classy lady with marvelous music. She is in a class of her own. I love this woman and what she does with her music.

A few years ago I saw her in Odense, DK. A gig I wanted to see, even if I had to chop of my both armes and legs to get there. What a joy! Joan, that is such a beautiful song. I first discovered you after watching the Wild Geese film in the late 80s and being blown away by your title track. Saw you perform this song on the Graham Norton show and was absolutely blown away (again!!). Please Please Please keep writing and performing :o)

I don't get it, this is awful. I'm not normally one for leaving negative comments because I always think if you don't like something then just don't listen to it but this is a terrible song, lyrics are terrible and repetitive and she has a very average voice. Saw it on Graham Norton and now it's on Radio 2 like every 5 minutes. This woman has had such a long career and good luck to her but I just don't understand how

Agreed. I have every record she ever made from Whatever’s For Us on. The last great album was 1995s What’s Inside. Everything after that is just flat. Part of the problem is that she decided to stop working with musicians and producers and creates her songs entirely herself. It lacks the sophistication of her earlier work. Seeing her live was always a treat and her band was made up of the best musicians around. No more sadly. Each of her last 4 albums had a handful of songs that if re-recorded with a band and a good producer would make a good album. On the other hand she seems happy now...so I guess it’s all good.

Each to their own as She writes cause she loves it would be the big reason, I think, why everything is done with her inner circle although She has preformed with Clapton, Dylan and others.
