What a pure place this song and album came from. Imagine living in London in those days when these songs were written. It must have been a magical time.
I moved into my home in July 1992 and bought this album around the same time. The memories I have of the summer sun streaming in through the living room window while this song was playing are some of the most vivid of my life. Let this be a public vote of thanks to the talent of Joan Armatrading.

one of my favorite Joan songs and my 2nd fave joan album...
What's your favorite? I LIVED on ME MY SELF I ...then WALK UNDER LADDERS...THE KEY. But "my fave" is prob. her more recent INTO THE BLUES...amazing how Joan "plays" so easily with so many different styles of blues music.
