that first riff is sick, i don’t know people complain about how angela isn’t in the band anymore as if she got fired even though it was her decision to be their manager instead. alissa has better stage presence anyways though her screams are kinda typical.

I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t find out of these guys sooner (I stumbled upon AE shortly after Angela decided to part ways with the band). It would have been flat-out amazing to see her in the flesh roaring like the dragon she is.

I've known of Arch Enemy for years. Never enjoyed the gutteral vocals even in male singers. I've warmed up to a lot of extreme metal and decided I needed to give this band a second listen. Holy shit am I glad I did... I may be really digging Arch Enemy now. :D

When I look at theses videos with Angela, I realise she was giving a really interesting punchy mood to the music of Arch Enemy that Alissa doesn't give, but doesn't mean she's bad though, it is just very different.

+Jonathan Bédard to me it seems like Angela is like the punch you in the throat type hell beast,. Aggressive, powerful, Inspiring, full on menace. While Alissa seems more the king to carefully construe an in depth plan to take on the power. Like in dnd terms, Angela, chaotic neutral, tendency toward good music style, which Alissa Neutral good music style.

@Jason Rodriquez Growling is the technicue that she uses and if you don`t like it, why listen to it? This is death metal, not symphonic metal were keyboards and clean singing are the more dominant parts of the music than this genre that Arch Enemy represents, where kick ass guitar riffs and strong growling vocals are the main key elements of their music.

I have always loved Alissa since I discovered the agonist a few years back, but sweet nemesis, I wish I could have seen Angela Live. I still feel privileged to have seen Arch Enemy fronted by Alissa last year, but I swear Angela is a women possessed.
