Aphrodite's Child - Day Of The Fool Lyrics

The truth is that the lyrics on the first two Aphrorite's Child albums and the singles, are not particularly good. Both lyricists they used, were French native speakers, who could no doubt write better lyrics in French. For their third and best album, the double LP 666, they used a Greek lyricist, who although was not an English native speaker either, he came up to the task of writting lyrics for this progressive rock masterpiece, although most of it, is comprised of instrumental, or non-lyric parts.

The expansion of the Greek territory until and in the aftermath of WW1 happened because geopolitical conditions were favourable and there were elected governments who were mainly in charge and not the kings who were mostly trouble with their unconstitutional interference. Anyway, after ww2 we had only trouble and no gain by their presence. The last king was also greatly responsible for the 1967-74 dictatorship with which he first collaborated, thus helping them to re-enforce their illegal regime and by the time he decided to attempt to overthrow them, was too late. In any case the vast majority of the Greek voters have decided in the first in the Greek history TRUE UNBIASED DEMOCRATIC REFERENDUM to get rid of monarchy for good and that happened 45 years ago. In the past, people had decided twice against monarchy, but the kings managed to come back by .. the back door, so to speak, against the will of the majority of course. But now thank goodness, is finally over. The few royalists left, keep quiet and even the ex-king has realized that there isn't the slightest chance for the Greeks to change their minds. We have enough worries, we have no need for kings on top of it.
