Yes, this song and Reaction sound similar; those who believe that Anti-Flag ripped it off from FAR have a valid point. However, many hardcore songs sound similar in various ways. They use the same chord progression; does that mean that From Ashes Rise own that chord progression? Lyrically and drum-wise, virtually every hardcore punk band uses both violent drums and screaming lyrics.

Damn.. This song is so, so bad and such a ripoff. It's actually more sad than annoying, Anti-Flag did some good stuff back in the days, but to rip off a far superior band is just sad.

That's not necessarily true. There's a ton of bands who are on big labels who release an album once maybe every 2 years. Then there are smaller bands who put out about 2 records a year, and everywhere in between. It depends on the band really.

the only reason why it's their best song on the album is because they stole the song and made a shitty version of "From Ashes Rise- Reaction"

Not meaning to diss AF or anyone on here - we're all brothers and sisters, apart from the ignorant person who used 'gay' and 'fag' as insults - it's a pretty generic punk/hardcore song, and there are a million other punk/hardcore songs with the same chords and rhythms, so I reckon that in a genre which is deliberately self-limiting, we should expect a little similarity to occur every now and then.

As with ALL punk/hardcore/general left music, it's the message that is important.

As musicians they grow up and experiment with their style. Is it wrong? No. Are they sellouts? I don't thinks honestly. Listen to #2's explanation for joining RCA. They were tired of touring and printing albums on Fat Mike's dollar. RCA has more money to get their message out, and they want their music to be heard. Nothing wrong with that. At least they hold their values close as they develop as musicians.
