Anti-Flag - Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man Lyrics

Recruited by the NSA, my orders to talk smooth and straight
If heads of state try to say "No", I lovingly told them "Fuck you!"
The jackals lose when I cannot (get through)
There is a windfall of profit to (get to)
You better deal or we're gonna take you down

And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes
The iron fist for blood and empire, will make you move
And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes
The iron fist for blood and empire, will make you move
So dance with me

Arbenz, Mossadeq, Allende, Roldos, Torrijos, Aristide
Elected democratically, all snuffed out by the CIA
The truth will cause your heart to seize
Shed light on the true enemy

And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes
The iron fist for blood and empire, will make you move
And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes
The iron fist for blood and empire, will make you move

What have we done? (You don't know)
Until you care (You never will)
What have we done? (You don't know)
Until you care (You never will)

The crimes, the murder, unjust, unheard of
The crimes, the murder, what have we done?

And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes
The iron fist for blood and empire, will make you move
And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes
The iron fist for blood and empire, will make you move
So dance with me

Anyone have information on the names used that were "snuffed out by the CIA!"?

    A.... L....

    Google them.

    A.... L....

I tried, but since they are only one name I'm really not sure what to search. :/

    A.... L....

Just put CIA after the name.
Anyways they were all democratically elected politicians that have been targets of Regime change and/or assasinations because of western interests, this was carried out by the CIA.
This is not only highly illegal but also destabilized our world ( If you look at Kongo for example)
Note that those are only the Regime changes we know of for sure, there are strong indication that Ukraine and Syria were western organized Regime changes.

    Bit late but:

Jakob Arbenz was deposed by the CIA for trying to implement a land buy-back scheme in order to get the poor of his country some land to make a profit on and help build his country, rather than letting his country be consumed by United Fruit, which owned most of the land. He offered to buy the land back for the value that they had submitted on their taxes, only for the company to demand exponentially more for their land. When he refused to pay the value, the CIA offered to aid United Fruit in retaining their land, and forced Arbenz out of government, claiming that he was a communist.

Mohammad Mossadegh was the leader of Iran who was deposed by the CIA and MI6 for the crime of nationalising his countries oil. He saw how much profit the British were making off his countries wealth, and decided that it would be in his countries best interest to nationalise the product. However, the British didn't take kindly to this and with the aid of the CIA started a reactionary movement which overthrew Mossadegh and replaced with a brutal Sultan who murdered and tortured his people, until he was overthrown and the brutal theocracy of today started. Mossadegh was labelled a communist, despite his efforts to surpress the Tudeh party, the communist party of Iran at the time.

Allende was the democratically elected leader of Chile in 1970 through 1973, a socialist attempting to bring forth socialism through the structure of government. The CIA planned a particular brutal counter-revolution against him, lead by the murderous neoliberal fascist Augusto Pinochet, who massacred workers, union leaders, and even Allende in the streets. Allende's last broadcast is a truly chilling thing to listen to. Unlike the others, Allende was a socialist, however he was not an authoritarian akin to Castro or the others of the time period. The economic destruction that came during Pinochet's regime was particularly brutal on the working class and poor of Chile, but it made a lot of multi-nationals very rich. To this day, the income inequality in Chile is the most severe in the region. It was also the first testing ground of the neoliberal ideas of Milton Friedman, a toxic free market ideology which has poisoned countries on a global scale.

Roldós was the president of Ecuador between 1979 and 1981, when he was executed. A powerful warrior for human rights, he lead a charge in South America at a time where most of the countries were led by military dictatorships (of which most had been enabled through US intervention: see Chile and Argentina). He is famous for mocking the dictators who called him naive, responding with the iconic quote of “I may be inexperienced, but my government perches on a mountain of popular votes, while yours is perched on a mountain of corpses.". In 1981 his plane crashed in exceedingly suspicious circumstances, of which many have claimed that his death was part of Operation Condor, an attempt to stomp out all socialism in the region by the USA. Socialism is used lightly here, because at the time, doing things for the people of your country was considered socialism by the Americans.

Omar Torrijos was also victim of another suspicious crash. Leader of the Panamian Revolution, he is known for battling to get Panama full control over the Panama canal. While he was never officially president, his progressive ideas and commitment to the cause of freedom is well known. His supporters regarded him as the first leader of Panama to actually have the support of his people, given his indigenous appearance, and Spanish speaking abilities, setting him apart from their previous leaders, known for their derisive title of "White-Tails". When his plane crashed in exceptionally suspicious circumstances, many suggested CIA involvement, as it offset his political plans and caused a political crisis in Panama, as his replacement was well known to be supported by US military intelligence (Noriega).

Jean-Bertrand Aristide was one of the best known Haitain politicians, and very much a people's hero. He fought for democracy under the dictator Papa Doc, a despicable maniac who massacred his own people in the streets with paramilitary soldiers causing exceeding amounts of violence and poverty to spread. This, all while being supported by the US government, namingly Reagan, led to Papa Doc being one of the most loathed figures in Haiti. Artide's attempts to bring democracy to the long suffering people of Haiti was met by hatred from the former right-wing paramilitaries, as well as the US government, who eventually overthrew him in a coup de'tat in 2004, leading to more suffering for the Haitaian people. This coup was backed by US military services.

    Hope this helped.

I don't understand that channel name with all these anti-flag songs.. :D

    N.... N....

the owner of the channel said, its a random number or sth.

  7. A.... ....

I love this group.Joeboo Sauce,I agree with you, althoug songs are not enough to  beat our enemy,so that, capitalism. We must learn HOW to unite in a solid way,how to dominate our fear to be able to DESOBEY.I recomend you listening to the British activist Roger Hayes in Youtube too.

    A.... ....

@Julien Morin fuck yes! I quit buying condoms years ago ...I got fucking kids everywhere, but I don't buy anything for them either. They'll live.

    A.... ....

@John Monrow "Most progressives don't think for themselves and just follow the herd mentality"
This is literally so laughably untrue and is extremely ironic, especially if you're someone on the right

However I do agree with you that capitalism isn't the issue....well atleast to some extent. There's a lot of things capitalism does wrong, but these same issues can be corrected under a capitalist system without needing to socialism or communism

    A.... ....

@Nicholas Bucci If you don't mind me asking, what brings you here then? This band typically doesn't make music that I could see the average conservative agreeing with.

chances are you probably aren't actually as conservative as it gets

    A.... ....

@TheReverseEffect I dont agree with a lot of their opinions, but I enjoy their sound so I don't let that stop me. plus a lot of them they say can be applied both ways. they view conservatives as fasicts. I view the leftists as fasicts. same meaning, just a different intended group if that makes sense.

    A.... ....

@Nicholas Bucci So then you just listen to people that you think are fasict? I don't know why you'd support them at all if you genuinely thought this. Anyways, they are, or atleast Mike is an Anarchist, isn't it kind of impossible for him to be a fasicst? Or am I just misunderstanding?
I just find this interesting, so I hope you don't take any of this as disrespect.

  8. M.... ....

I had this CD for about a year thinking that there was propably 3 good tracks, but now I listen to the whole album nonstop bc it full of awesome songs like this

  9. M.... A....

Muse`s song have wise and eye opening lyrics too, and they are more popular. Go to listen Uprising and United States of Eurasia from them, their inspiration is also Confessions of Economic Hitman and 1984, both great books. Muse is not punk, but I still love them.

  10. B.... B....

    Anti-Flag the one.

  11. C.... ....

I happen to believe you're paranoid. I know the feeling; I recently finished reading 1984. Now everything's a conspiracy.

  12. S.... H....

I just stumbled onto this band today but I'm so glad I decided to listen to them is their music on iTunes?

  13. b.... ....

anti flag has some of the most well researched music - this song definitely deserves more respect

    b.... ....

For instance sabaton or Civil war have very well researched songs too, mostly about history

  14. W.... ....

This band, inspired me building the non-profit organization that is my youtube account

  15. w.... ....

They both have great opinons and make really good music, but they are not able to change things. The masses are able to do this, and they try to mobilize them. But as you can see, Anti-Flag´s songs aren´t that popular, that tey would reach enough people.

  16. n.... ....

No possibility. Sorry, but I seriously doubt any of those things are possible.. too many dumb people. Capitalism, religion, and leaders are not always a bad thing though. They definitely can cause bad things though... but really what can't?

    n.... ....

That's not true. Every leaders in the history caused bad things. Just because when you have power, you don't empathize any longer, and that's scientifically proven

  17. c.... ....
