Anthrax - Gung-Ho Lyrics
Striking down the enemy
Fighting hand to hand
Troops are thrusting onwards
Time to take command
Ready to devour
Bodies lie dismembered
Maimed, killed, and hacked
Draw fast, cut first
Live hard, die hard
Feel the point of the blade
Lunging like an animal, killing all in sight
Going for the throat, living for the fight
In a bath of bloodshed, mixing with the sweat
Fight, fight fight
Fight, fight fighting the war
Gung-Ho, Gung-Ho, Gung-Ho
Raging on the warpath, storming through the town
Blowing it to pieces, killing all around
Stand in our way, if you've got the balls
In a hail of bullets, your nailed to the wall
We wait out the day, we burn in the sun
We move in by night, and kill everyone
Show no emotions, have no regrets
Made to take pain, no fear of death

Anthrax Gung-Ho Comments
The old guy at the end had me dying dude 😂😂😂😂😂
Back when metal shows had crazy ass crowds of people jumping on stage and crowd surfing
Wow! Talk about the good ol days! Where did it go!?
No chance in hell they would let that many people up on stage today.
Notice how the crowd is thrashing and not standing there with a cell phone in the air.
Notice how cellphones didn't exist in 1986.
hear Charlie Drumming makes Lombardo very overrated
Stage Sumum Party!!!I used to be things like these !!! The spanish David personal translation is...Juanjoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!! Salud y Vida Pa'lante !!! Cheers and Life On !!!

Back in the day when the talent appreciated the fans, and the fans appreciated the talent... and being metal fucking meant something.
Now it seems to be a blurry line with no direction... soccer moms and metallica... super.
I loved Anthrax out of that whole 80's thrash scene. Just their east coast New York attitude was refreshing next to all the west coast stuff. Gung-ho!!!
Their best riffs are contained here.
My fuckin hero, Charlie motherfucking Benante!!!
without fuckin' cameras, just some fucking crazies banging and moshing!!
I remember seeing this video as a teenager.
It did a big impression on me, to say the least :-)

アメリカンスタンダードのギンギンヘビメタル。ガンホー
Hiro Yama Шта причаш ти дечко?
The problem of metal rises up here as a great example. With some exceptions (famous bands) when you listen to it live it just mushes up into noise. I mean we all can hear clearly hear the guitars and the notes but in concert? It all collapses into noise. I hate when that happens and it happens more often than not. Anybody feel me?
dzemohendrix that's just a bad sound technician and bad acoustics of the room
dzemohendrix but seing a band live is not about playing the songs perfectly, you have thr studio versions. its about connecting with thr fans creating an atmosphere
Wear ear plugs, it helps a lot.
Live doesn't always sound perfect. But it doesn't matter, because it's real!
Anthrax is the best out of the big 4
Jay Clark they are the weakest
Rebecca Fry megadeth
Robin Stiff wtf megadeth is about the greatest
@Rebecca Fry Anthrax........
WEAK?!
super delightful
delightful of metal
Nomura Tetsutaro is this loss?
This is amazing. I love Anthrax; I'm happy I had the opportunity to see them live.
Yes me too and they outplayed Metallica by far.
WHAT A FUCKING GOOD SONG AND WHAT A FUCKING GOOD VIDEO. ANTHRAX IS ONE OF THE MOST BIGGEST ICONS OF THRASH METAL.
this is my favorite band
That's Dan Spitz for you!
Left side...he rips

They just don't make concerts like this anymore.
Maybe not Anthrax but Metalcore is practically like this all the time, unless i'ts bigger bands
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buIl3Mw1iec check the setlist.
thank the lawyers
this is how every gig and concert should be done
best concert live I saw.
My kids favorite song
You raised them right
see, this is why I like metal your never too young or too old to rock out
Exactly
I saw this on Mick Wall's MONSTERS OF ROCK.Brilliant.Long time ago ha aha
Damn! What a show! I need a time machine. Fucking grunge killed music. After 1993 it seemed like everyone wanted to be dr dre or kurt cobain. I hated the 90s. Crap music that whole entire decade.
Alice In Chains was awesome though. I liked them.
Pantera's 90s music was the best
phillyphilhouse79 um, the thrash/nowobhm bands survived and are still making music and are doing just fine to this day. And metal is in great shape these days as well
con Bush sale mejor, aguante Anthrax!
The version with Neil Turbin on vocals is better
I'm a massive anthrax fan from yrs ago. I had everything they released up to the last album with belladonna apart from soldiers of metal which was only released in new york. Neil Turbin never sang this .
Thanks, I was looking for 1 .
He did sing it, L'amour Brooklyn 1984. He wrote that song ( according to him ).
Turbine never sang GUNG HO
Exelente!!!
That riff :O Fucking Insane!!
Su ta gar! Su ta gar! Su ta gar! su ta gar!
That crowd though!
Legit dude holy shit
Necrosis Malice that's how crowd should be at any anthrax show!
recorded at zeche bochum / germany
gone ho fishing
That guy at the end made a great clip even better. I wish I could shake his hand!
Yeah, this was in Bochum/Germany. (03./07.86T he Guys on Stage with Anthrax on this song was Overkill and Agent Steel
THRASH METAL!!!!!!!!
one of the best videos ever!!
Bloody hell, Scott and Dan look young!!!!!
That was awesome... cant believe he jumped, good for him man..
holy shits batman.
ça c'est un putain de concert !!!!!
Man,you could've provided a city's power for several weeks with all of the sheer ENERGY that was unleashed on that stage!
I was there and this was THE loudest gig I ever went to.
No,that wasn't a jab at you, just a general comment. I just meant that Charlie amazingly was doing some blast beats on that album back in 1986. I wasn't criticizing your comment by any means! I was just commenting more on Charlie and my being amazed at what he was doing back then on that album, his skill and talent.
If you were talking to me then you must read again my claim. I said the ''fastest doublebass drum song before the year 1986''. Not fastest.
there is absolutely no doublebass whatsoever on any iron maiden songs. ok my bad, face in the sand is the only song they used doublebass drum.
The trooper, iron maiden, was the fastest song to that point in time before anthrax and slayer
Levi Dawson Metal Militia is way faster than The Trooper.
so does your father
where all the stage security, I guess they just dont give a fuck n went home early, how cool is that
Listen to "Speak English Or Die".In several places on several songs,Charlie was actually doing BLAST BEATS! This was in 1986!!! This man has had the "Drum SKILLS to give us the Thrash THRILLS" for almost 30 years now!!
che se parece a ANGEL OF DEATH de slayer
Man I would have loved to be at this show the pit was literally on the stage it looked amazing.
I swear the god this is THE fastest double bass in the year 1985. someone please try prove me wrong. i've been trying to find a song from 1985 or earlier that has faster double bass drum playing than this song. I failed to find one. dark angel's song death is certain(life is not) is faster but it's released in 1986 :(. is this really the fastest double bass song before the year 1986?
Mosh it up!
Best video on youtube!
US Speed Metal Attack (Overkill - Agent Steel - Anthrax)
WHAT DID HE SAY??
Thrash metal*
Now that is speed metal
This is to good!
Some people take their Vevo...
VERY seriously.
i dont get why people are always dissin vevo, it is basicly the only place on youtube where you can get the video, if it wasnt vevo it would just be a picture of a album cover, and they have to have ads in the corner of pussy justin beiber and 30 second mac donalds video ads before you watch the video to make money, if you are going to talk shit about somthing you are getting for free, then get the fuck off of here
FUCK YOU
CALLATE
dude i think charlie is way creative than dave lombardo
SLAYER SOLO
If beeing a way better drummer in all aspects is considered stealing, then YES he stole Charlie's fame.
Even the VEVO version of this song has NO Bass and is recorded by a Deaf rapeist!
I wonder if that old man is still Among The Living, it would be really great to read some of his words about that scary and joyful jump, ANTHRAX FUCKIN' RULES!...and yes, it really makes me laugh watching Scott & Dan's faces when he jumps...GUNGHO!
I love Anthrax, great humor sense in every song. Check the surprise on the face of Scott & Dan when the old man jump over the moshes. LOL
1980`s, COME BACK! :|
