Anthrax - Anyplace But Here Lyrics
Beneath by breath you take
still you're gasping for air
miles and miles you move
into abyss you stare
running form the plight
and that hunger's hanging on
but never to the fold
with endurance
as the earth behind you burns
you can feel heat
keep your will and never turn
come on, follow closely
come on, end this slavery
come on, where you're going
any place but here
so this will run its course
every day you move
handcuffs they lose their force
abandon all you know
so destitution hides
united in despair
still makes it harder to divide
With exhaustion
as the earth behind you melts
You can feel heat
But your need for living fails
A logical reason for being
Is quickly drifting away
People prove fiendishly greedy
Each time you try to believe
It's hard to be defiant
There's ways to kill the giant
Slaughtered by pins.

Anthrax Anyplace But Here Comments
The whole album is off the hook
Weak stuff with John Bush , not as bad as I used to think , still , very little Thrash on it , sounds like a blend of Groove Metal and Hardcore .
Isso não parece Anthrax
boosegumps the moment johns voice kicks in..... not just here but always. in my opinion the best singer in the world probably.. so so good
The feeling of being in the same town your whole life and being made a example of and screwed over by the court system after there mistake.
I love John Bush & Anthrax. He made a huge impression on me in the 90's.
Armored saint too !
hugs from Brazil, Rohan!!!
What happened to this album? Great song list and it’s just kind of disappeared. It’s not on the streaming sites.
This song is powerful!! Is kick ass!!
Breath by breath you take
Still you're grasping for air
Miles and miles you move
Into the abyss you stare
(Into the abyss you stare)
Running from the plight
Mighty grips its hold
And that hunger's hanging on
But never return to the fold
With endurance
As the earth behind you burns
You can feel the heat
Keep your will and never turn
Come on, come on, follow closely
Come on, come on, end this slavery
Come on, come on, where you're going
Any place but here
And you pray for more hope
So this will run its course
Everyday you move
Handcuffs lose they their force
(Handcuffs lose they their force)
Abandon all you know
So destitution hides
United in despair
Still makes it harder to divide
With exhaustion
As the earth behind you melts
You can feel the heat
But your need for living fails
Come on, come on, follow closely
Come on, come on, end this slavery
Come on, come on, where you're going

Come on, come on, follow closely
Come on, come on
Come on, come on, where you're going

john bush was way cool. couldn't get into armored saint, but as inconsistent as it was, his era of anthrax took a lot if musical chances. and when they hit things right, they nailed it right out of the park as well as anything in the two joey b. eras
I prefer the John Bush era of this band by far.
John Bush voice is the metal sound or tone of today. I can't stand Belladonna's high pitch voice now after John Bush.
@TheBoinger5150 and unfortunately the Joey fans didn't dig it, I like both...
da fehlt ein "von & zu" vor dem veilchenstein ^^ ansonsten sssssssssSPITZE !
Fucking Brilliant
Great song, and the artwork is kick ass as well
" Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalks..."
Goddamn you lol! I think of this every time I hear this song.
Yeah AC/DC & Anthrax 4ever !!!
this song blows away acdc
That art is awful my god.
@DemonGate I hope U are lockedup behind bars forever..Garbage like U don*t even have the rights to live
@DemonGate I think that's one of the key features of art... The people it appeals to... There are such things as tastes and opinions... If you like it, or if it's some famous respected artist, it doesn't mean everyone must find appealing. I hope you understand. Cheers, mate!
DemonGate in the future, everyone calls everyone else assplug. As a term of endearment.
HaremofScorpions that’s my favorite album art anthrax as done besides spreading the disease
No it isn't shut up
one of my favorite songs!!
Dream of safety
Come on, come on, let me hear the money talk!
Hell Yes!! \../.(_ _).\../
I feel your pain bro... Metal forever! \m/
The Chorus is a bit like AC/DC's MoneyTalk!
I think this song fits Diablo 1.
I usually never reply to comments, but the main reason i did is because i decided to check my inbox before going to bed, thus i saw that someone had replied to one of my comments, so i decided to considering i didnt really care, and i dont really like fighting on the internet, its extremely pointless. So how about lets get along and forget ths ever happened, shall we? :p
I wasn't bitching in any way. I was just saying what i thought. Besides that comment is 2 months old, whats the point of replying? -.-
ppl dont really care how old are you its not like anyone gonna be proud of you for being 12 and listening to something others dont its not bout how old are you but how much you like the good shit music has to offer
These are the lyrics from the second part of chorus :Come on, come on, follow closely
Come on, come on, [[[[[indecipherable word]]]]]
Come on, come on, where you're going
Any place but here
I never found what those words are. It doesn't say on any lyrics site.
---------------------------------But I keep hearing the words "Dream of satan" when that part comes up. First they say :" end this slavery" the the second time??? Dram of satan???
-------------------------Do you hear the same words?
77goofball end this slavery.. i think
you are not alone...i like too!!!...
If i did, i wouldn't have anymore badass music to listen to...
0:48 best moment of the song
Ahhh, this has to be one of my favorite songs by Anthrax.... Fuck i hate my generation... Me and a few friends are actually some of the only ones that like this kind of music... Mostly everyone else listens to lil wayne or nikki minaj shit. Ive actually been listening to music like this for about 2-3 years now, around when i was 10ish. And im freaking proud of it. ;)
good. it's great music.
Fuck yes youngster! I love that you're young and already a reinforced metal head....this and so many songs actually have the power the help someone turn things around
As you should be.
it was the same in the ninetees. Be glad that you have a friend of same age that digs same kinda music. My first album was Persistence of Time by Anthrax and others that digged it were roughly 5-7 years older. Good trashney!
Kicks ass just the way a 49yr old Scottish guy needs it too
grovin while your cruzin, metal is awesome
old school thrash metal...oh how i love you
