Love Annihilator but Alice In Hell is the album everyone knows but IMO their best album is Never Neverland. They basically refined their sound a bit and smashed it out of the park. My vote would be for The Fun Palace. Its phenomenal

I wore this cassette out in the 80's. Jeff Waters was an amazing musician..Influenced many a musician....nice to see you guys listening to old school metal..👍👍👍. Agent Steel was very similar around that time,with high vocals and crazy guitar riffs..
Listen to "Unstoppable Force" by them..pretty cool.
You guys should listen to Exodus "Toxic Waltz" or Megadeth "Good Mourning/Black Friday" sick old school metal. Keep it up. Love your reaction vids.

Dave Mustaine wanted this guitarist in this band Annihilator , named Jeff Waters , to join him in 1989 in Megadeth . Dave wanted Crystal Ann to be re-recorded onto a Megadeth album , probably the Rust In Peace album . Jeff declined on both . Dave wasnt too happy about it lol . 🎸 Guitarist Marty Freidman joined Megadeth soon after that . This interlude song is studied all around the world at Classical Music schools .

Jeff Waters is a monster but the bass in this track is amazing!

Overkill...you guys really need to react to Overkill...preferably Armourist, Ironbound or Pig.

A little background info...Overkill came out in the 80s...were contemporaries of the big 4...but their best work (in my opinion) is all from 2010 to 2014. Specifically, Ironbound, The Electric Age and White Devil Armoury.

Their best known song from the old days is probably Elimination, which is comparatively weak, but from 2010 to present, no other metal band has consistently put out such solid work.

Yeah Testament has made some of the best ballads in Metal
For example Return to Serenity, The Ballad, The Legacy, Trail of tears etc. Acoustic version of Return to Serenity is also brilliant

Annihilator could have been huge if they ever had a singer that didn’t sound like the most cheesy generic 80s singer ever.

If you like that, you should try Flotsam and Jetsom (Hammerhead is a beast of a track). The saddest day of my life is when Jason Newstead went to Metallica. Also Forbidden (Chalice of Blood is the track that will blow you away). My final must have thrash would be Agent Steel, anything from the Unstoppable Force record. This will be the only example of Atlantis Metal you'll find anywhere..

Lots of kids these days have no idea what each metal sub genre means and why it was created ,they misclassify all the time but esp in thrash ...this band is NOT thrash but just heavy metal ...thrash metal cannot have high pitched vocals period

There is a band called hammerhead that are kids and they play this very well it's crazy. Metal church is the best!

Dave mustaine of Megadeth once asked Jeff Waters the guitarist of Annihilator to learn the peace sells album record his playing and send it back.... Jeff Waters declined unfortunately and Marty Friedman was chosen and they recorded Rust In Peace shortly afterwards.

I love Annihilator. True story after this album the guitar player, Jeff Waters, was offered the job of being the lead guitar player for Megadeth. He ended up turning it down, but Dave Mustaine was that impressed with his work here.

Lead vocalist Randy Rampage was also the founding bassist for legendary Canadian Hardcore Punk pioneers D.O.A.

Annihilator, along with Razor and Exciter are my top 3 thrash bands from our neighbors in the great white north. Annihilator however, to me, is the best considering Jeff Waters (guitar) talent. Dude is the shite. Thanks for shedding some light on this band. As always, keep up the good work. Peace!

thank you guys for checking this out. i grew up with this music and your right. no matter the genre there are SO many bands that never get the respect or credit they deserve. Jeff Waters is a legend in the metal community. Iv never seen it said in any of your video comments so ill say it now. like when you did Orion....sometimes you have to just close your eyes and let the music tell you its story. if this song with its music and lyrics dont send a slight shiver down your spine then your not hearing it.
