    I was told when I was 18 that I had 3 to 5 years to live
    I was diagnosed with AIDS 3 years later
    Now 32 years later I have outlived ALL of my friends
    I remember them all fondly
    I think of them often
    They were ALL KIND and LOVING people
    This is why I think of them
    NONE of them deserve to be forgotten

    Joey Labrecque you are not alone. Diagnosed 16/01/1991. Most of my friends and my beloved died before 1996. Next year I will have been HIV+ for half my life. But long life until you are alone is not something they ever discuss. Worst, I am still treated as a pariah, a biohazard ☣️, I spent two years in hospital and no one touched me once. Of course in 1991, they gave me 12 years. In 2000 they guessed 72-10 to 20 years. Now that I am alone and disabled they no longer shorten my life expectancy. Great, a minimum of 12 years to spend home, alone with my cats. Oh well, I can use that time to give away all I own to people who will live long, healthy lives. I hope that in the last 33 years you have found love 💕. MarkDonaldRyanStern
