Wow...never heard it before! Im flashed! Greatest voice i ever heard...

When I first learned of this song, I mistook it for "Heaven" by the Eurythmics, which is a completely different song. I love the fact that the Annie sings the vast majority of the background vocals on most songs in which her voice is featured in the foreground, and this track is a prime example. While, I'm thinking of it, I believe she does the widely-ranging background vocals on, "There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart). Listen to her voice when it starts way high up and ends with a deep moan. Wow, what a singer.

This re-make by Annie Lennox is wonderful as can be. From her solo work, to her work with Dave Stewart, to her pre-Eurythmics work with "The Tourists." All of it is fantastic. Today I've been listening to the Tourists c.d. in my car, (March 2019) and I really got a kick out of the reggae-style track called "Ain't No Room." Check it out! She was even in a group prior to The Tourists. I think that group was known as "the Catch and Coombes, named after Pete Coombes.

I heard this song the first time last night slow dancing in the living room. And it brought tears to my eyes

This is an amazing song given an incredible interpretation by the wonderful Annie Lennox .Listening to it makes me feel so many conflicting emotions. Profound sadness and, simultaneously, unrivalled happiness. Peace and yearning , regret and optimism............I could go on and on but I think many listeners will understand what I mean .

Love this song by both artists, but this version is the one I prefer most as it has such a beautiful ambiance in the way it has been interpreted from the original. Fortunate to have this track on the "Whiter Shade of Pale" CD single. I know that this was a bonus track on the Japanese release of "Medusa." I only wish that it was added to the U.S. release. It would be nice to have the deluxe edition of all her albums to include tracks and remixes not available with the original release.

I really love, A Christmas Cornucopia. Annie's voice breathed a new life to these carols. Very different sounding than the classics. We all get a little older and somethings don't work the same as they used to, but Annie's voice has evolved in my opinion.

what do you thinK: in those days ("heaven") i feel her voice was so strong and clear. the last christmas album was sung in a kind of harsh voice. i miss the crystal clear voice from back then....what is your opinion ?

I didn't say she was an athiest. I just know she says she is not a religous person. I imagine you can believe in a higher power and not be religous.

This is stunning. I love her voice so much...in the space of one three minute song she can take me through the entire range of human emotion...from sheer joy to anger to utter despair. And then back to joy. After 30 years she still sets my soul afire.

And it's where us lost souls go to heal from the premises that we remember too much to dwell upon the earthly realm without seeming strange to those lucky enough to not remember a peace we can no longer obtain in human form. But even The Ferrymen can become distant and unreachable when we need them the most.
