Animals, The - Roadrunner Lyrics
Yeah, baby, come one baby, Oh, oh
I'm a roadrunner baby,
Can't keep up with me, oh, oh
I'm a roadrunning mad,
Come on and lets have a race
And baby, baby you will see
Oh, take my hand baby
Yeah, Yeah, take my hand baby
I wanna prove to you,
That I'm a roadrunning man, yeah
I wanna tell you something
I'm the fastest in the land
Oh, Come one take my hand baby, yeah
Now listen to me baby
Oh Oh, why don't you move up a bit slowly
Let this man by, let me by
I want to give my love to you
To put some dirt in your eye
Oh, Oh baby, come over baby
Can't keep up with me, oh, oh
I'm a roadrunning man,
You can't keep up with me, ah
Come on and let's have a race,
And baby, baby, baby, baby.
Oh, oh yeah, come on baby
Yes, I'm a roadrunning man,
Can't keep up with me
Yeah, come on and lets have a race
And baby, baby you will see
Oh, I'll say it one more time now
Oh, oh, bye bye baby
I've got to put you down
Oh yeah, I've got to put you down
I'll see you baby
I'll see you somewhere hanging around, oh

Animals, The Roadrunner Comments
was 17! Alive! now 69 where time go!
What I am saying sarah is these are not the original Animals , Burdon is
the only Original member
Love this version it’s one best I’ve ever seen
💓Eric and that voice, definite crush material!
oooo meu deus q coisa linda saudades
Thats Burdon , however they are not the Animals
The bans is "Eric Burdon and the Animals" aka The "New" Animals. The band was formed after the original Animals broke up. Barry Jenkins is the only hold over from the original band -- he replaced John Steel on drums.
This is awesome ima jam to this all day and all night
Love Eric Burdon! He just grabs you by the soul! 😎✌️
Good to see you Eric, love those pipes and cannot leave out how musically lethal those Animals are here. Oh yes good times!
that's the best version ever played
Best version--better than the original, better than the Who, way better than the Stones. Aerosmith at least preserves the beat, even if they don't have Burdon's voice. But The Animals' version is clean and powerful.
I prefer the original band
I adore this Eric ...and I'm gonna die with this!
Think just about every band covered this song somewhere in their career. And why not? It's still a cool song.
Soliod solid drummer
It seems to me, Eric and the guys feel fine thairselves here without Alan.
This voice,is so great.⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟
The only white guy of the 60s and 70s that can dance. Maybe the only white guy ever
Eric - the best!!!!! Just love his voice. Band excellent too! I’m a sixties girl - oh great times! Always preferred the animals to the Beatles and Brian Jones was my heart-throb. It all ended for me when he died. 😢
@Caroline Clements same here, Brian was a god
saudades de tu amor da minha vida nunca vou te esquecer saudades da peste kkk tá
No matter what the style, Eric, has it nailed x
I´m blown away watching and listening to him here.
What I wouldn't give to have been a teenage girl in mid to late sixties!! Absolutely think Eric burdon is one of the most sexiest man I've ever laid eyes on❤️❤️💋
You have 20/20 vision on that ! Thank you so much technology! 👌
Look at those besweatred pricks dancing, where are the real rockers?
We had something called " bouncers " in those days & they kept the whole dance floor in check, one wrong move or sign of getting on down & we were thrown out roughly regardless whether you were a girl or boy. Hope this answers your query
This was in answer to Tommy Hall
This version is as good as Bo Diddleys cover.
rare to find but van morrisons group "them" did the best version of roadrunner...if someone can find it....wish you would post it here.
The Sound of Newcastle !
Beep beep..Roadrunner...love you Eric
Vic Briggs and John Weider. Those are two H.O.T. guitarists in any day and age!!!
Good voice great performer
his talent not wasted
on drugs smoke or liquor
makes him a survivor
& a legend......
Dang!!!!!!!!!! I still can't keep up with him and i was born in 1955 him 1941! I wonder if that is applicable to other areas haha Hm Have a race with u woman haha oh yeah???
Eric's "new" Animals with the criminally underrated Vic Briggs pulling a smokin' "classic rock n roll meets proto-psychedelic" guitar break. As great as the original line up was (and they were great) this new line up went on to make incredible psychedelic music. LOVE EM!
Ripped off, mediocre playing, and they changed the lyrics. A totally poor average bar-band imitation of the original.
Thanks to the AFROAMERICANS by bring us the ROOTS of all Rock and Soul music: THE BLUES!
damn sexy
Love the audience dancing. But seriously, how much charisma does EB have? Such a great frontman.
Tons. He still has great charisma on his performance videos! I was always in love with him (and a handful of other rockstars, LOL). He is kind of an "Oh. My." for most women. It is that charisma.
esse baixinho eh demais!te amo burdy!
0:40 put a toothbrush in my hand. (did any toothbrush company use that for a line in an ad? )
I swear, everything this man touches turns to gold. His last album which I believe was released in 2013 has some great songs on it too. Keep on rock in' Eric. Great guitar riff also.
I'm a roadrunner
For my money, this is the best version of Roadrunner out there.
xwhite2020, I guess you never hear Greg Allman sing then.
Christopher Wood : Yes Greg is very good but not from England.
one of the best - for me Van Morrison also
For me is The Who's Version
@today is not yesterday Opinion varies
WOW!!! Now that is what I call ROCK & ROLL!!!!
halbie71 Is a intense cover of a BO DIDLEY (Chicago Electric bluesman) song.
I wonder if this was before or after Monterey. That was where the New Animals made their debut. Also, guitarist John Weider would go on to join Family.
+Brian Washington This was recorded in February of 1967 while on a tour of Germany. This was actually the debut of the new Animals on this tour.
Cool. So this is a bit of history here.
I love you eric burdon <3
Iv'e always dug Eric Burdon cause he's got that raw voice when he projects any song to the listener or audience. This is the kind of music you get on vinyl and to say i wouldn't mind getting this track if i can find it, time to search.
eric always sang great stuff, from the original animals and later. this was after the first group. great driving riff.....like junior walker.
Super<3
nao e do meu tempo mais fui criado na cidade do rock brasilia adoro curtir eric burdon
Best Animals lineup.......
Nice!
Can't Judge A Book Youtube
Eric rockin the blues as only he can! Appreciated today even more!
Right up there with The Who version...smokin!!!
Eric Burdon rocks
Eric has one of the greatest white blues voice! Such feeling!
Superb.
One of the Legends of Rock--Eric Burdon--!!
Eric puts such power behind every song he sings. Fantastic!
Check at My Channel This Same song at Finnish Rock N Roll Band's Version it's kick ass like this version
wow! i have been watching his classic for a few weeks of his just walking around vids and decided to watch these few i have never heard. whew could that man sing. i remember waiting in antacipation for his next album to come out when i was about 19. he ruled for years and you can see why hear. do you hear the heart and soul and the little of the blues? do you hear it in todays music? very little. so sad.
Other than Bo's original this one has to be a close second. This band just kicks ass the way rock music was meant to be played.
this is pure singing no auto tunes here
Oh, Eric is great!
dancing at 1:22 lol
Wow, Animals covering Bo Diddley? Can it get any better than this?
Eric Burdon, fap fap
Never seen/heard this one by the Animals, great video!
What a great group they were! Thanks for the clip!
At 1:11 Vic Briggs' white Fender simply goes into flash solo. These four guys-
"The New Animals" were quite gifted, and the tightest lineup of any. Enjoy!
@zincorbie Oh I know Mark. Seems far and few between these days though.
@magneteye Well, there's Mark Lanegan! He sounds as much like Morrison as anyone. He sang for Screaming Trees and Queens Of The Stone Age.
Great atmospheric performance*****
Brilliant! thanks!
@51spike Yep. Where are today's baritones? ala Jim Morrison, Eric Burdon, John Kay...
I prefer miley cyrusses voice though..
Does she have.one?
Maybe it's the long term effects of too much tofu & soy milk.
It's great to see Eric gettin' with it! Why are contemporary vocalists such whiners?
THIS IS AWSOME!!!! exelent quality....
it doesn't look like it has 42 years old (the recording)....
