These guys are the best band ever. No one can beat The Animals. This version of this song is the best. Alan's amazing organ playing, Eric's beautiful singing voice, Hilton's awesome guitar playing, John's outstanding drumming, and Chas' wonderful bass guitar playing prove to others that they are the best band ever that I adore and love.

I have heard many versions of this song and I agree this is the definitive version.

@Megan S. Don;t necessarily agree to 'the best' as I have an appreciation of different interpretations. But do appreciate this rendition.

This is my mothers favourite song and has become one of my all-time-favourites too. Coming from a family of uneducated workers with all kind of problems, the lyrics of this song has always gripped me by the heart. I really have to thank my mother for where I am today and the fact that she put herself last and always all of her 8 kids first still humbles me to this date. I owe my work ethics, my moral compass and my sense of justice to her - amongst many other things - and for that I thank her!

Oops.. Please forgive.. but do love. Three of his songs are at the beginning of my play list, so I do enjoy him about daily. :) Keyboard isn't working well just now, or I'd tell you a bird story. Please ask me if you're interested. Tied to his version of "Ring of Fire." I think I've spelled it wrong for a long long time.

This is interesting. It makes me think of Melanie Safka.. They both belt out any song how their mood brings it out. Like me. Only problem, nobody wants to listen to me! Sometimes I think I don't really like a song, then find I like it just because of the emotion coming from the gut! Like this. I love Eric Burden!!
