Coming from a die hard Blink-182 and Box Car Racer fan, when I was younger, I've heard about Angels and Airwaves and I assumed that they stupid, dumb and not good. For the longest time, I never gave myself the chance to listen to them. Fast forward September or October 2018, I heard "The Adventure" for like the third time in my life and I realized that AVA is not that bad at all. I bought/downloaded the WDNTA album and it totally changed my view of them and I completely fell in love with the album and the band. When I heard "Valkyrie Missile" for the first time a month ago (Feb. 2019), it was one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life. Even though I really love all of AVA's albums and EP's, "Valkyrie Missile" is definitely one of my favorites. I can now say that I'm a huge AVA fan forever and ever!!

This song never gets old. I remember hitting play the first time with doubt in my mind but thinking Ive love pretty much everything Tom has touched so Ill give it a shot. Intro...hmmm...weird but cool....build up into verse.....we have lift off. I've been a blink fan my whole life but the songs from AVA have such a deeper meaning to me and move my sole. Every album is amazing. Dream Walker took a minute to get use to but its genius. Love the fans! Love the comments on here!

Last time I listened to this song I was going through one of the worst periods I've ever experienced in my life.I was playing my guitar, when this song was recommended. I hadn't heard it in a while, and just mindlessly clicked it. The song started playing and as soon Tom started singing, I had to stop because my voice was getting shaky. People who don't often listen to music need to, because music had power. In the darkest period of my life, this beautiful song broke me down to tears. This song gave me hope, which honestly, I hadn't felt in a while. While just listening to it I got goosebumps, and started crying again, but for the complete opposite reason. My life is going amazing right now, and it made me realize, the bad times are temporary and you WILL make it through.This is why I love music, and especially ava. Their message is so pure, and while Blink and Boxcar Racer are very good bands, they will never have this level of human connection; love.

That intro is the best of every music album I've listened, so space-lifting, so fulfilling. I remember discovering it in the cd store, I put the headphones on, pressed play, and I just froze there, I was transported to a new world.

This track is masterful. The whole thing builds and builds toward the end, with the most amazing outro. It has numerous interludes and different phases. This is no standard verse chorus verse chorus.

The guitar part with the delay effects is especially awesome. It's not in some other versions of the song for some reason.

For a lot of years i refused to listen to Angels and Airwaves. I refused to accept the fact that Tom moved on from Blink-182 and therefore in my ignorance i chose to not accept his new band. Looking back i don't think i regret it. Being older now I can appreciate these sounds more along with the fact that Tom had his own reasons to leave the band. I'm happy he managed to come up with such a masterpiece.
