Funny how people go "Hey she sounds like blablabla" or " Reminds me of blablabla". You mean she sounds like an actual artist. Yeah real artists make great music. Definitely a common trait among great artists.

This such a great song.

One of the things I love about this track is it gives me a Nirvana feel without feeling like a ripoff of them. This is the right way to use influence.

@floger dingus I'm talking about the instrumental. The guitar riff reminds me of that style of music.

I hear it. Sounds like Teen Spirit! :D ...the guitar chord progression on chorus part, not the verses eg: 0:48 but also the break down part to the bass line with lead guitar over that, 1:10. Very Teen Spirit via Pixies. The lead guitar part around 2:00 even sounds like something Joey Santiago would play, albeit not as fleshed-out, or with the wild abandon. Of course, Angel's vocal style & lyrics & vocal melody are obviously nothing like Nirvana or Pixies - but most people that know those bands music, will recognize familiar chord progressions & styles. Too derivative for me - almost rock clichés at this point. Distracting. I heard for first time on KEXP about an hour ago (11.2.16). I like her voice, though. :)

The guitar part definitely sounds like Nirvana. But it also sounds like She Fucking Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd, who were constantly accused of trying to sound like Nirvana. Also, one of the songs on this album is called Heart Shaped Face. I'd say there's definitely a good chance that she's influenced by Nirvana, which is a good thing. Especially since, vocally, she sounds nothing like Kurt Cobain.

I got to see you play this at the constellation room before you released it and I'm so thankful!!! This whole album fucking rocks !!! Definitely one of those albums where every single song is amazing !!!
