Oh...Bones. I have heard an unbelievable number of absolutely wonderful songs on that series. This is just one of them. I think may of us owe the person that selects the music used in that series a great deal. Excellent work and musical knowledge. Have no idea what the title of this person is but great work. A true artist in his/her own right.

This song is actually one of the reasons I started watching the show. The first episode I saw was the patriot in purgatory and the part when they gathered and explained how he died was so sad and then this song just made the whole episode even better

Actually I thought of that explanation and it is reasonable but I also thought of the dead soldier. He never recovered from his experience in the war. The wife said that try as he might he could not stay with the family. And, also that she always loved him. Somehow I pictured him needing both his hands to carry the lights for them all to survive. In his heroic acts that caused his death he no longer needed both the lights to get through. He needed only his light and by his actions he gave the other light back to his family so they could move on.

This song fits in so well with the funeral scene in Bones. You really felt something tug at your heart as you watched the coffin go down. This really made me think about the disasters and war that have struck in the past. We as a society cannot forgot what has happened.....otherwise it will be our downfall.
