Andy Williams - Unchained Melody Lyrics

Oh, my love, my darling,
I've hungered for your touch a long, lonely time,
And time goes by so slowly and time can do so much.
Are you still mine?
I need your love, I need your love, God speed your love to me.

Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh, "Wait for me, wait for me"
"I'll be coming home, wait for me!"
Are you still mine?
I need your love, I need your love, God speed your love to me

From Zorba the Greek. Great movie.

No, it's not from Zorba.  It's from a little-known 1955 film called "Unchained", and the song was nominated for an Oscar that year but lost to "Love is a Many Splendored Thing".  Al Hibbler had a hit with it in 1956, and dozens of other artists have recorded it over the years including the Righteous Brothers and John Gary.  Great melody.

Andy Williams is sooooo overlooked nowadays. In the middle of the plethora of bad pop songs, he's one of my go-to artists for good pop songs.

    Smooth as warm butter.

Great song, beautifully sung.  It's been covered a lot, but it is one of those rare songs that I have not heard a bad version of (yet).  That said, this is a particularly good version in my opinion.  Very relaxed.

This song literally made me cry the other night <3
