Andrew Peterson - Rest Easy Lyrics
You are not alone
I will always be with you
Even to the end
You don't have to work so hard
You don't have to prove yourself
You're already mine
You don't have to hide your heart
I already love you
I hold it in mine
So you can rest easy
Do not be afraid
Nothing, nothing in the world
Can come between us now
You don't have to work so hard
You can rest easy
You don't have to prove yourself
You're already mine
You don't have to hide your heart
I already love you
I hold it in mine
So you can rest easy
You work so hard to wear yourself down
And you're running like a rodeo clown
You're smiling like you're scared to death
You're out of faith and all out of breath
You're so afraid you've got nowhere left to go
Well, you are not alone
I will always be with you
You don't have to work so hard
You can rest easy
You don't have to prove yourself
You're already mine
You don't have to hide your heart
I already love you
I hold it in mine
You can rest easy

Beautiful! Both the song AND the video. Can't believe I'm just learning about you, AP! Better late than never!
Sou fan escuto quase todo dia. Glória á Deus. Made in Brazil
Though this is a gorgeous song and a powerful video, I can't watch it again. This was my greatest fear, through three deployments. I was in an accident in Desert Storm and my wife thought I had been killed. I can't imaging her and the kids going through that pain. Much love to all those who deploy and the families they leave behind.
F . . K THE ARMY !!!
a human version of how Lord Jesus is saying to us all. I can hear our Heavenly Father talking to us. Learn the words, CLose your eyes and let him talk to you. tears, tears, and more tears. rest easy, switch yokes, close your right hand, and know he is with you ALWAYS!!!!!
I just found out about this song today through a friend. WOW it is so beautiful. Just bought the album on my phone. Such a sweet spirit in these songs. God bless
This brings tears to my eyes, but I love this song and the Father's love for us.
So sweet the relationship of the father and son. And so sad, it made me cry.
Thank you. I love the song and the video just reminds me that you never know if the last time is really the last time. And if so how do you want to remember the last time or how do you want them to remember the last time. I've had the very best last times and some really painful last times and I just want to know that heartache isn't the last thing someone remembers about me. This song reminds me of that value!!! Thank you.
I already loved this song... and then this video!!!!!!!
I miss my daddy
I miss my daddy
I admit, I cried at the soldier at the door. I am forever thankful that ours was a phone call, not a knock, and it finally ended with a homecoming, not a funeral. Still, the closer you have come to that moment, the more keenly you feel for the others who go through it.
Thank you for your service. May God bless you.
Andrew! You are so talented! Great job and God bless!
So touching and beautiful.
i cried my eyes out watching this video, the boy in it reminded me of the boy killed in the Boston marathon attack, an angel in heaven now. Thank you to all our servicemen and women, who give so much for freedom around the world.
OMG this video made ma cry , i cant imagine having a dad or a mom thats in active duty , just to think that you can lose them its crazy but t actually lose than its even more crazy and beyond painful , WOW .
I normally don't like music videos because I feel like it takes away from the song....but this one is a perfect collaboration.
Both my Wife and Daughter broke down and cried --- and I'm ashamed that I couldn't. One of my deployments was with Arkansas (as I am from there). Everything from those several deployments I have bottled up so tight--I just can't even write about it. There are times I cry by myself, but for some dumb reason I suppose I have to remain strong when they cry. That soldier could have been any number of my friends. Thank you for it. Your talent makes mine look & sound like an infant babbling. Thank you
Beautiful video and a powerful song.
I'm supposed to be a big tough HS football coach,,,I cried my eyes out watching this...Thak you to our serviceman, we can never say thank you enough...Thank you Jesus for calling me to "Rest Easy" as your child.
Such a movie song and video. I'm in tears. This was beautiful
