Yeah, this song is amazing along with Junkie Church. Sadly, the album is really poor and boring, nothing like the old ajj :(

I feel exactly as you men. Andrew Jackson Jihad went throught a lot of genres, but was always focused in existencial dramas along with catchy sounds and "that" unique sound that, even me who loves folk punk, can't find in another band.
I too like how they musically evolve, i didn't care with Christmas Island, it was a good album after all, the sound was different but so was Knife Men, but now they took another direction (even changed their name) and you see how they're trying to do something really different, and i agree, you must evolve musically, you can't keep doing the same. But for me they're not Andrew Jackson Jihad anymore. They're AJJ now after all (and to be honest, the album is really bland).
The problem with "It can be horribly redundant to stay in the same genre for so long." is they never stayed in the same genre, just listen to their first LP, People who eat people, knife men and then Christmas Island: the sound was different, but the essence was there and you knew what band it was.
