Andrew Jackson Jihad (AJJ) - Cody's Theme Lyrics
When I was a kid
My whole reality split
I was living a lie
I was a killing machine
I was a war lord
I had to talk to the teacher
She talked to my mom
We had a real long talk
I had to talk to the teacher
She talked to my mom
They made the visions stop
When I was a kid
I was a total dick
The world beat the hell from me
I took it out on a tree
Great Illustrated Classics
I took it out on a fig tree
Out on the lawn
I took it out in the backyard (backyard!)
And behind Rite Aid
I took it out on the crates
And on the shopping carts
We were on another plane
I was the king of pain
In unspeakable cruelty
I set the mommy on fire
I set the baby on fire
Not even Jesus could stop me
I had to talk to the teacher
She talked to my mom
We had a real long talk
I had to talk to the teacher
She talked to my mom
They made the visions stop
I had to talk to the teacher
She talked to my mom
We had a real long talk
I had to talk to the teacher
She talked to my mom
They made the visions stop
Stop, stop

Andrew Jackson Jihad (AJJ) Cody's Theme Comments
Dude this hit WAY to close to home so much so it's actually kinda creepy how accurate it is my name is Cody too so it's just so so weird but I love it
1:06 while my guitar gently weeps, pfff, more like, while my guitar screams bloody murder
This is a fantastic reflection on the changes which the band has gone through and the personal journey communicated through the progression of Sean's lyrics.

The production on this album is shit
My name is Cody, oh no
This album is their worst but this and Junkie Church are gold
I gotta be honest as someone who has been dealing with controlling anger because of my ADHD and depression this song just fits the mood sometimes
How is anger related to ADD or depression?
@Wolf Cub I don't know about the commenter personally, but for me I often lash out in anger during depression and ADHD peaks because often I'm extremely overwhelmed and confused and I just cant process right. That and often other people wouldnt listen to me or understand
so is this kool aid cody or a new cody?
Kool Aid Cody I believe
well... it's about a kid whose name is most likely Cody.
Cool aid Cody
Honestly the only good track on this record
small red boy?
Been a fan of AJJ since I found People Who Can Eat People back in 2014 on YT and this is just as good as the old albums, only in a very different aspect (diff sound, more experimentation)
I don't understand why people hate this album so much. It's amazing!
Listen to their older albums and you'll understand why
Illiaz I've listened to a lot of their albums. I understand that Bible 2 isn't as great as others, but I don't think it should be hated as much as it is. It's still good in my opinion :p
Trash_Dayis They repeat a lot of their old stuff and try too hard to be neutral milk hotel
Such a fantastic songwriter.
This song has so much static I love it
Holy heck I'm finding all sorts of great bands this week.
What was the others.
everyone says that they hate this album but i definitely disagree. even though it has a different sound than their earlier stuff (and its a lot less acoustic) you can really see the progression of their sound and thought. i found it really enjoyable
👏👏
Hey cool name
I am re listening to it a few more times in hopes I like it. This song is the one that stood out.
UNNECESSARY AMOUNTS OF R E V E R B
That's not reverb...
Ardo Gammaeas is it distortion?
I am the koolaid stains on the mouth of a kid, who's name is most likely "Cody"
He had a juice box for breakfast and he carries a stick that he most likely found in the alley
Cody doesn't have friends and his parents hate each other, he wants to find a better way to love his family
And after school he hangs out in the abandoned house behind the Arby's

Mint Willow thank you so much for posting this
If anyone can point me out to more of the the faster AJJ songs like this, Temple Grandin, Distance, or Children of God that'd be rad thanks
We didn't come here to rock is awesome, they played it when I saw them live the other day :)
fuck you josh no need to rub it in. I'll fight you
Brave As A Noun
Terrifyer is nice and fast
Ik I’m late, but “Kokopelli Face Tattoo” has this same kind of fast and fuzzy sound
I know that someone will be looking at this in a couple of years with this as their first AJJ song, to you I say, AJJ also did folk punk and it's excellent
I don't hate this, at the very least.
id still consider this folk punk honestly. especially after seeing it live
What a D bag.
@Steve WHINY SEAN FOR PRESIDENT 2020
My first song was from their first album and i listened to those kind of songs more and listening to The Bible 2 kinda.. made me eh.. at first. But i've grown to love this album and the others a lot
