Zalig. Andrea horen zingen doet altijd zo goed aan het hart. Ik hoor hem toch zo graag zingen, hij is voor mij de beste !!!

Semplicemente un personaggio creato dalle case discografiche facendo leva sul fatto che è italiano e cieco giusto per attirare di più il mercato straniero, ma che con la musica Lirica non ha nulla a che vedere.

well, itis a wonderful song and a non-operatic version of this could easily be made, however, listening this (I´m not expert, so I say just what it sounded to me), pauses like 0:50 was and notes that were obviously pushed like 1:24, 1:59, 2:29 and 2:42 made this version neither enjoyable operatic nor non-operatic version for me....

Che schifo è un'offesa per la lirica e per quanti veramente studiano per imparare questa nobile arte, ilil mio contento è orribile, non parliamo del resto, che Lui in qualche modo possa arrivare male alle note non significa che stia cantando e poi chi dice che ha una bella voce deve avere un orecchio pieno di ..... non sò cosa. E' proprio vero che quello che succede nella musica leggera , cioè il fatto che i mass-media possano far diventare belle, grandi, espressive voci che non sono niente anzi a volte anche orrende, si stà portando anche nel canto lirico, vedi appunto Bocelli, il volo ed altri pseudo tenori.

Estoy de acuerdo con las criticas de carácter técnico, pero es innegable la belleza y expresividad de su voz, este hombre transmite gran sentimiento y eso los profanos y puristas no lo pueden negar..

Bocelli e' la prova vivente che per avere successo...oggi..non basta essere mediocri.....

l'imbarazzo al primo ascolto mi aveva spinto a interrompere..ho voluto andare fino in fondo..a 1:58 e 2:20 e' da denuncia per oltraggio.

I just listened to Lauri Volpe, Corelli, Pavarotti, and Bocelli sing this aria. THEY ARE ALL GREAT IN THEIR OWN WAY!!! In fact, in my humble opinion ANY SINGER WHO CAN HIT ALL THE NOTES OF THIS ARIA IS GREAT....GIFTED....AND WONDERFUL!!! That's why I am a happy person I suppose? :o)

To hit the proper note is the very first thing a singer must do — the lowest common denominator. Then, there is everything else, and this is why Bocelli cannot be compared to opera singers because when he is, people must yield to fits of laughter or bouts of outrage.

Povero Bellini! questo è un 'insulto alla lirica.
Caro Bocelli, questo  è offendere se stessi. Canta pure le canzonette, ma lascia stare uno dei più difficili compositori del Melodramma italiano. Viene difficile ai grandi tenori, figuriamoci a un cantante  dalla voce costruita come la tua.

criticare un cantante é giusto ma non é giusto offendere!  "Bocelli é un cane anche con il microfono" te la potevi risparmiare! Bocelli é un cantante di musica Pop che avvolte cerca di interpretare l´Opera che secondo me, per il suo timbro vocale non é il massimo! Ma non bisogna offendere un´artista che bene o male ha avuto tanto successo in tutto il mondo. Certo, non lo si puó paragonare con i grandi tenori come Volpi, Gedda, Di Stefano, Caruso e tanti altri ma non per questo hai il diritto di offendere!

Andra Bocelli is a tipical lyric tenor with beutiful voice. His high registers have great resonance. His blindness only the one thing why he couldn't have carrier on operatic stage. He can sing everything.

I was judging entirely from their recordings. Lauri-Volpi possessed one of the most voluminous tenor voices I ever heard in the flesh. Bocelli is a light lyric. He sings this lovely aria as sensitively and as well phrased as any exponent on record and should have stayed with this repertoire. Vivian

Wow, I really enjoy the "pop" interpretation Bocelli has given us with this Bellini aria..scoopy notes, amazingly phraseless singing, and a general thinning of the voice once he approaches the secondo passagio. Sounds remarkable!

Perchè non prova lei a cantare un'aria così tanto complessa, con note così acute e con quel fraseggio? Dubito anche che riesca a iniziare lei! Al contrario, il Maestro non solo ha iniziato, bensì ha concluso anche alla perfezione a mio parere. In ogni caso non mi sembra il caso di offendere.

I quite agree. Bocelli has a capability, talent and discipline far above the output which "popular" management seems to think we all want. May we hear many more of the immortal classics from this man who sings straight from the heart to the soul.

Remarkably fine and worthy to be set beside Lauri-Volpi's standard-setting version recorded way back in the 30s. Pity that Bocelli has not offered much Bellini or Donizetti over the years. He certainly exhibits the correct style for this music.
